katl-commons plugin uses JIRA in an unsupported manner. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/could-not-find-entity-for-entityname-when-restoring-a-xml-backup-into-a-jira-application-317951241.html

This plugin is a required component for the awesome Kepler plugins. The guys at Kepler really do not fear developing solutions for complex problems (e.g. rights management, remote integration, scripting suite, ...). In particular with the JJUPIN and BlitzActions plugins we have been able to overcome several limitations in JIRA (create issues from one JIRA instance in another, copy comments back to another JIRA instance, derive issues from other issues and copy certain values, ...) and it is working stable for years now =)
