    More details

Power Actions for Jira is a unique app for creating dialogs and wizards on the fly.

It provides a customizable toolbar to your issue screens. You can script the whole screens with Simple Issue Language (SIL).

    Key features:

    • add actions to a ticket and simplify workflows
    • gather user input before performing a transition
    • add wizards - design an entire flow inside a single button

And it's powered by SIL, so you can do pretty much anything with that action:

    • define button conditions
    • add HTML, WIKI content, multiselect / select fields, date, file, and user pickers, and so on
    • define actual actions performed when the user clicks the button

With SIL, we created a power portfolio for Jira: apps like Power Scripts for Jira, Power Database Fields PRO, and Power Custom Fields PRO are relying on SIL scripting capabilities. Power Actions is a strong complement providing unique features to Jira and increasing the interaction with your favorite bug tracker.

I would describe this plugin as one of the best ways to extend JIRA because it does not require you to modify the workflows and allows you do add buttons and dialogs for different operations, outside the workflows. So even if it would become broken at some point, you would still be able to use the workflows normally. Also the support I got from the vendor was the best so far, these guys are awesome, not surprised to see them as one of the few verified vendors.

It seems like it is only right to use at least some of the time Kepler's plugins have saved me and write a review for them. I can't say enough good things about their suite of plugins, but I don't want to ramble. In short - the Kepler family of plugins is almost everything you'll need to REALLY customize your JIRA instance. If you're feeling constrained in what you're able to do, then get this! It's a Swiss Army knife and is really powerful. Many things I've been surprise that Atlassian failed to implement in JIRA can be done with the Kepler suite. I hope that Atlassian makes the Kepler suite an integrated part of JIRA in the future. The Kepler team is VERY responsive and has fixed most bugs I have caused while pushing JIRA to the limit. They have also implemented more than a few feature requests I've made.

The guys at Kepler really do not fear developing solutions for complex problems (e.g. rights management, remote integration, scripting suite, ...). In particular with the JJUPIN and BlitzActions plugins we have been able to overcome several limitations in JIRA (e.g. create issues from one JIRA instance in another, copy comments back to another JIRA instance, derive issues from other issues and copy certain values, ...) and it is working stable for years now =) We use BlitzActions to derive issues from other issues and copy certain values across (e.g. create defect out of a support request or split feature requests into Epics). In addition I have created Debug Actions that appear only for JIRA administrators and allow to change certain internal values / re-index the single issue / and so on. If you ever wondered how to prompt for input from the user before executing a certain action (based on this input), this plugin is the way to go! In addition to that I have to say that the developers are very friendly and helpful. You often see them answering your general JIRA questions on answers.atlassian.com and they try everything to help you in case you run into any issues with their plugins (from conference calls to hotfixes). Also they have included all of my improvement suggestions almost instantly and BlitzActions was created after I told them about this particular requirement of ours - simply awesome! I hope you guys keep on developing great plugins for the Atlassian community!

This plugin is an extension of Power Scripts which is awesome and provided by an awesome company. We find the ability to have buttons to perform actions very useful as it allows us to simplify workflows - and because it's based on SIL scripts - its super flexible and powerful. The scripts perform very well and never impact JIRA Performance. Also the documentation and support provided is very good - All support tickets replied to quickly and staff are most helpful Thank you and continue the awesome work!

We are always happy to see happy customers and help them. And it's not only with existing functionality, we accept feature requests as well, so if you have one - we are just one click away!

    Cheers!

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For Jira Server 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira Server prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
