Extend Jira with a powerful yet affordable scripting and automation toolkit. Power Scripts is the App that every Jira Admin needs

    SIL stands for scripting simplicity

Automate scripts from many system and user events

Integrate with remote RDMS, APIs, LDAP, and Jira

We created a Simple Issue Language (SIL) exclusively for Jira scripting. Field references and algorithm syntax can be coded by administrators with little programming experience in a powerful script editor right in Jira.

Automate script execution via workflow transitions, event listeners, incoming REST API, email handler, UI issue interaction, at startup or shutdown, on a set interval or cron, dashboard gadgets, and advanced JQL search.

Integrate with remote databases, LDAP applications, arbitrary APIs, and even other Jira instances to condition, compare, transform, populate, synchronize, or otherwise leverage data that resides in multiple systems.

    More details

The best script automation app on the market, Power Scripts provides virtually unlimited scripting and automation capabilities to automate your most complex tasks in Jira.

    Hi there,

Thank you for your kind feedback, we are happy you liked it! :-)

There is actually a copyAttachment routine out there that you might want to try, see this article:

A much nicer scripting language to work with than the other well-known scripting plugin, and cheaper too. Very powerful and well-supported. LDAP integration is a wonderful feature for us. Full marks all around.

I can't say enough about this plugin. JIRA without JJupin is like a hand without a thumb, This tool doesn't just open up windows and doors that were closed in JIRA, it allows you to knock down the friggen walls! I would need 100 plugins to replace this one. So much easier to learn and faster to write scripts than the groovy based alternatives.

JJupin is one of the best plugins we have used, the SIL language is very easy to learn, we use this add-on completed a lot of functions. I hope every JIRA user can use it and love it.

The JJupin plugin has by far become one of the most important and versatile plugins in our arsenal. We have a very complex set of workflows that integrate with internal and external tools and so far, pretty much every customization we've wanted to make has been doable using SIL. Don't let the "S" (Simple) in SIL fool you -- there are some very powerful built-in routines such as httpGet/httpPost and "call" that pretty much make anything you do limitless. And as many others have said, the price is absolutely awesome compared to other plugins with a lot less functionality (make the justification very easy to your boss!)

Good if you do not need support. Some functions just do not work. Basic stuff works fine.

Such a nice plugin, saves a lot of time in customizing Jira, even though am new to Jira and new to SIL language am learning it quickly due to it's simplicity and smooth integration with Jira. I would like to thank Jonathan Muse for helping me solve an customization issue i was facing and also for explaining me how to use it and debug the issue for any errors.

I'm using Jira since almost 10 years. We have a complicated workflow and wanted to check for specific condition transition and this plugin help us save time with real specific action used in our workflow. It complete the "must have" that are not built in with Jira. For example check for Issue Type not equal to "Investigating". This plugin is very easy to use and perfectly integrated into Jira that you don't even notice you are using a plugin.

We've been using Jira for a long time. In the beginning we wrote our own plugins to customize the workflows, but keeping up with Jira releases was time consuming. We then switched to different plugins for different purposes, but again, updating Jira and different plugins is always a hassle. To minimize this problem we were looking for one plugin to rule them all. We found a very good solution in Power Scripts. It allows us to customize our workflows exactly as we want. The learning curve in the beginning for writing scripts compared to having specific plugins for specific purposes, outweighs the pain of managing multiple plugins.

    Thank you, Robert!

And yes, one of the main requirements that we're always keeping in mind is having the scripts that are portable across Jira versions. Once you have them, they just work. And with all that, Power Scripts also helps you save money because it can fully or partially replace many other apps.

Thanks again for your kind feedback,

We've been using the Power Scripts plugin for our 500-user JIRA Server installation for almost 2 years now. The main reason that we like this plugin is that it's easy-to-use and provides a lot of nice scripting functionalities that help us in customizing the multiple JIRA projects that run on this installation - especially our custom-build workflows. During these two years we were in contact with the plugin developers quite a few times and they are very open-minded and committed and did a great job in helping us. Keep up the great work!

We'll pass your kind words to the support team, this is very encouraging and motivating for them. We can also recommend Power Scripts YouTube channel to inspire you with more scripting opportunities.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For Jira Server 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira Server prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
