Sketch-style wireframes help focus the conversation on content and interaction, not minute details.

This plugin is barely being maintained... the only updates have been compatibility updates... while the Add On for Confluence Cloud gets frequent enhancements to keep it nearly in sync with the desktop app.

A totally fair review, Brett, and I'm sorry for any disappointment we have caused you.

We updated Mockups 3 to Confluence Cloud first because it required us to re-write a portion of the plugin for it to function at all. Once we did that, we started work on porting it to Confluence Server, but stopped after we realized we had something better in the works.

The good news is that we are very close to a HUGE update for our Confluence plugin - beyond that of even our desktop and Confluence Cloud apps. The new app is completely native - so it doesn't require Adobe Flash - and is ridiculously fast.

If shoot me an email at support@balsamiq.com, I'll get you into the next wave of beta invites. We have been running a closed beta for a week now, and things are going really well.

I can't apologize enough for not updating you and others on our plans here. I promise the wait will be worth it!

Hi Team, Currently, we are using Balsamiq Mockups for Confluence Server version 2.2.32. Can it possible to Adding Own Custom Icons?? As per document we can, but not finding the option to add. Please help me. Thank you

    Hey Ramakrishna!

While there isn't a way to add icons right now, that feature is coming in the next major version of the plugin. We are hoping to have more news about that soon. :)

In the interim, if your icons are images, you can add them like you would a normal image, and use them that way. They wouldn't be a part of the icon library, but still usable in your mockups.

Let me know if that works, or if you have any other questions. You can always shoot us an email at support@balsamiq.com - we're here to help! :)

Hi, When I try adding a balsamiq mockup to my product requirement page it opens a new version of Balsamiq, but I am already using balsamiq Drive version for my project- how can I integrate the tools so that my team will be able see the updated mockup I want to link to a specific product requirement document, just like they can see the Jira software issues linked to it? Thank you, Liann

Hey, Liann! Sorry for the trouble here. Mockups 3 for Google Drive uses a different file format than our Atlassian Server add-ons. That being said, getting them to work together is easy. If you follow this guide (and ignore that it says Desktop - Google Drive works in the same way), you should be able to move your files to Confluence effortlessly: https://support.balsamiq.com/plugins/b3andatlassian/ The only difference you will run into is when you export your file, you will have to find the zip file on your Google Drive. If you have any questions, or would like us to walk you through it, please don’t hesitate to email us at support@balsamiq.com. And if you are still trialing our different versions, we're also happy to help figure out which one makes most sense for your team in the long term. We are happy to help however we can! -Brendan

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host product. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your host product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
