The migration process from DC to Cloud can be a handful because not everything is migrated and most of the configuration needs to be manually done afterwards. In our case we heavily use this add-on and it was a bit of a struggle but once setup it is a great solution for email integrations. It is very flexible and I must say that support is great. Would recommend, especially for new setups!

  We understand that moving from DC to Cloud can be complex. The two platforms work differently, which is why we were not able to fully automate it with the migration tool, and unfortunately, this will add extra effort during setup. We are migrating our data from DC to Cloud and we used this app heavily used on DC. Due to the limitations on cloud we are struggling a bit. Need to improve support for cloud in terms of clear documations, more n more use cases etc

  We understand the challenges of moving from Jira DC to Jira Cloud, as the apps work differently across the two platforms. You have reached out to us with template migration questions.

  Unfortunately, email templates work very differently on Cloud compared to Jira Server & Jira Datacenter. This is due to the large differences in how these different instances operate under the hood. While we do aim to have most of the same velocity macros available on Cloud compared to Jira Server & Jira Datacenter, there are certain limitations due to the different available data and the differences between Jira velocity objects.

  Due to the vast options available in customizing email templates, migrating them is not directly supported.

  While we supported you with your Cloud configuration, we regret that this did not fully resolve your concerns.

  We’re continuously improving our Cloud documentation, and your feedback helps guide those efforts.
