    We migrated from Comala Document Management for Data Center to the Cloud version as part of our Atlassian platform transition. Unfortunately, we observed that several critical functions available in the Data Center edition are either missing or heavily limited in the Cloud version. Key features such as advanced approval workflows, conditional triggers, and detailed reporting options no longer work as before. These capabilities are essential for maintaining structured document approval and audit compliance in a regulated banking environment. We reached out to Comala support, but the responses so far have been negative, indicating that there are no short-term plans to restore these functions or provide an equivalent alternative. The overall product does not currently meet the enterprise-grade requirements of organizations migrating from Data Center. We have been in contact with the vendor for an extended period; however, despite multiple discussions and requests, no positive or actionable response has been provided so far.

We fully understand how challenging this transition can be, especially when you depend on the advanced workflow and reporting features available in our Data Center edition. You’re right that some of those more complex features aren’t yet fully accessible in the Cloud version.

      The good news is that closing this gap is a top priority on our roadmap. While we don’t publish the full roadmap publicly, you can always visit our website for the latest overview of feature differences between Data Center and Cloud, which we keep updated to help customers plan their migrations. We truly appreciate the context you provided regarding compliance and regulated environments; your input helps guide our future focus.

    Hi Appfire, Any update on supporting global workflow management across multiple Confluence spaces? Last July 17th it was promised to deploy by end of Q2, but until now problem still exists and persists. I would appreciate to hear more updates please.
