Jira's history tells you a field changed. It does not tell you what the baseline said. Baseline X stores the full issue state at commit and shows snapshot against current side by side, changed fields only.
Link an issue to any baseline from the issue
Link an issue to one or many baselines from the issue view itself, so anyone opening it can see which baselines it belongs to and how its state has moved since each was committed.

Baseline X lets you create baselines, link issues to baselines, and capture issue snapshots. When a baseline is committed, Baseline X captures a snapshot of all linked issues, preserving their state at that moment.

- Details
- Re-snapshot a committed baseline - Capture the current state of your issues without losing the original commit. Each re-snapshot saves a new version of the baseline (v2, v3, and so on), and earlier versions stay as they were.
- Version history - A version picker next to the baseline status switches between versions. The newest version is marked current.
- Duplicate a baseline - Copy any baseline from the ⋮ menu. The copy is a new draft with all of the original's issues, ready to adjust and commit.
- Choose and order fields - Customize Fields lets you pick which fields to show and drag them into your preferred order.
