Export code reviews from selected projects from Crucible into human-readable format (an archive with XML files).

Import such archive into another Crucible instance. This lets you move projects between instances or perform instance consolidation.

You can also use such archive as a long-term backup, outside Crucible instance.

Summary

Export / import code reviews without attachments

Details

What is being exported/imported:

  • code review metadata (author, moderator, reviewers, summary, objectives, dates, linked issues etc)
  • files added in a review (source repository, path, revision)
  • comments (global and inline comments including replies, defects, linked Jira issues, author, date etc)

What is not supported in this release:

  • file content (attachments, patches)
  • comment resolution status
  • code review history (audit log)
  • project metadata, including permission schemes and defect classifications
  • users and groups

Installation

  1. Log into your Fisheye/Crucible instance as an admin.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
  3. Click Find new apps or Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
  4. Locate Project transfer for Crucible via search. Results include app versions compatible with your Fisheye/Crucible instance.
  5. Click Install to download and install your app.
  6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
