App Description

Managing a workflow with triggers

Edit a workflow to configure triggers for it. Triggers are added to the transitions between states.

Trigger configuration

Trigger configuration allows you to specify which triggers will cause the transition to occur. For example, you can trigger the transition when a pull request is declined in a linked application.

Workflow step with linked status

In the text mode of a workflow, you can see the linked status for each step. You can also review the transitions associated with each step.

More details

This sample workflow is designed to allow you to easily import a workflow with pre-configured Workflow triggers.

You must have Jira 6.3.3 or later to use this workflow, it can be imported in the workflows page. See Sharing your workflow - Importing from Atlassian Marketplace for more details on how to import this workflow.

The workflow relies on the 'Hide transition from user' condition to support automatic transitions, which is present in Jira 6.3.4 and later.

However, if you are using Jira 6.3.3, you must manually add the condition 'Hide transition from user' to the following transitions:

  • Auto In Progress
  • Auto In Review
  • Auto Done
  • Auto Out Review

See Advanced workflow configuration for more details on Workflow triggers.
