    Feels halfway there.. 1. No quick access to create issue from template 2. No autocomplete as in the self hosted server version of the plugin 3. Feels as the docs are missing alot?

    According to the autocomplete feature, we don’t use this terminology, but it works the same. Using Create from template form, select template which will be applied to your new issue.

    Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous low ratings: - Documentation is horrible. Has a lot of typos, missing key information - You can't create a new issue using the actual new issue UI you have to use a custom button in the nav and retrain your teams (this should be mentioned in the description, I was mislead thinking it could do what I need) If I'm wrong, I'll change my review, but until then it's staying at 1 star. Prove me wrong!

    I needed a way to standardize text-based fields to ensure that content was included in my tickets, particularly for Bugs and Requests (which would be much less likely be overseen my administration). This allows me to do that and I greatly appreciate the consistency it allows me to inject into my JIRA. I like the idea of the Variables feature and want to explore it further in the future. I hope this addon stays with its current "only as much as needed" approach. This addon's value to me is in its simplicity and execution, please beware of bloating it. ALSO, the customer service is VERY professional and prompt. I have immense respect for a company that ensures this, so thank you very much! Improvement suggestions to take this to a 4 star: - Ability to toggle on / off the standard "Create" button to ensure that users MUST use the Templates. - Ability to, when using Apply Template, only apply certain fields. I like this, but man do I not want my Summary to keep getting over written. Because of this, I NEVER use this feature and don't expect to.

    At first I wrote a 1-star review, probably for the same reasons Max below me did: this thing is impossible to configure correctly out of the box if just going by the help you get from the app, so it doesn't seem to work, and what you get is quite hard to understand. But there is documentation ... and after much chagrin I finally found a reference to it from some part of the plugin, which led me to the Getting Started page and in the end a successful implementation. So it does seem to work, and I can't say I know how to get the most out of it, but at least it is a replacement for the GitHub markdown template we used when using Github as the issue reporting system :-) Still, working does not mean perfect, so not a full score, as the user interface is severely lacking from the administrative perspective. 1. Excel-like configuration. 2. No clickable tutorial-like setup or other hand-holding. 3. Very few hints that there exists a documentation that one NEEDS to read before even trying to set it up. 4. The documentation that exists uses pictures that in no way matches the hosted Cloud edition of Jira, making one believe it simply doesn't work at all, while in truth you might have misconfigured it by skipping a step (happened to me).

    Has much potential but support for customer portal (Jira Service Desk) is limited. Dynamic Variables do not work in the portal. Also selecting a default template per customor request type does not work. Customer support is fast! Both features are on the backlog but not to be expected before the end of the year (2018)

    Pros: Immensely timesaving and beneficial if you are constantly creating similar issues with 5+ subtasks. Configuration is highly customizable. It works fast and compatibility has not been an issue. Cons: Documentation is HORRIBLE. Their "wizard" doesn't work. You *will* spend at least 3 hours trying to configure this thing, it is insane. It is worth the time but don't get into this unless you are ready to figure out a lot and are a little tech savvy.

    I had an issue where Templates were not populating. After an online session, it appeared to be that inline images confused it. We worked thru a few options and now it works as advertised. Great support !

    In our company we have a number of issues repeated over and over so the add-on is great facilitation for our work. It's also a nice that templates can be customized to duplicate subtasks or issues in epic. Without doubt a good product.

    Its good, except for one Huge FLAW. You can not copy links from templates. Which renders this useless to many. So for example if you have several Subtasks that you want one to block another, you can not. You better off creating issues as "TEMPLATES" then use the clone native option in JIRA which gives you the ability to copy the Links

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your Atlassian product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

    This app does not have a a Data Center approved version. Only apps meeting a set of performance requirements for large, clustered environments are approved for Data Center.

    However, while server apps are built for single-server deployments, many customers successfully install them in Data Center products. If you're using a Data Center product, Atlassian recommends you contact the vendor to determine compatibility at scale.

    What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

    Because this app does not have a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Server license if you decide to install this app in a Data Center product.

    For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

    If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.

    Installation

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.

    4. Locate Issue Templates for Jira via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
