Product Plan is a great tool, easy to use which enables quick collaboration and insight into the roadmaps of other team and functions. The company itself have been very attentive to feedback and have incorporated new functionalities needed in a timely manner. So far the tool has delivered great value to the company I used to work with a few weeks ago.

We used ProductPlan at our last company. Our aim to to make our roadmap more transparent to all our internal people, to stop the questions of 'what are you working on right now' and 'when is it going to be ready'. We integrated our productplan Roadmap into our internal site, and sent everyone to there. From there, anyone could click on the stories and find out more about the stories, see the tickets we were tracking and who exactly was the owner etc. Very helpful!

I'm a big believer in: "Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler". That's how I would describe my view of ProductPlan. As a product manager ,I don't like muddying up the ticketing system with roadmap-level work, only to have to get a spreadsheet (or PowerPoint) going to actually explain the roadmap outside of the ticketing/workflow tool. I think the engineers I work with appreciate this at well. ProductPlan let's me have the conversations that matter with all of my stakeholders. The nesting of initiatives prevents over simplification, while keep the high level view nice and clean. PP tries to do the roadmap thing well (avoiding other bells and whistles), and I appreciate that from a user standpoint. Having Jira, Confluence, and ProductPlan communicate, saves me a ton of time. I've worked in environments where only PDFed roadmaps were "shared". Live roadmaps are where its at, and being able to have something in Confluence that represents the most up to date understanding is critical.
