This provides some of the functionality I was looking for in tables within Confluence. But, the interface is a bit difficult to understand and use for the standard user. Additionally the price is a bit high for what it is (at 100 users the price is 75% the cost of Confluence itself, it certainly does not provide the features of 75% of the entirety of Confluence)

More interesting possibilities than with integrated tables. But esp. styling is managable for IT-PROs but not for normal users, which typically use Word. What we wanted is to better control table grid rendering (i.e. style="border:0;") - thus to hide it for example. This works only within normal confluence view (5.8.10) - there table styling works as defined. But when exporting to PDF, table style is ignored, thus the table grid lines are drawn.

We would would like do more with styling especially to make it easier for normal users. Regarding PDF, we use javascript for many of the styling and formatting options and that is ignored by the current PDF exporters :(.

It is a problem with last night's Cloud update. Atlassian is working on a fix. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-37270.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does cloud add-on pricing work?

Cloud products and add-ons are hosted by Atlassian. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

Your subscription automatically renews every month. Annual pricing is also available. Your pricing tier for host products and add-ons is automatically upgraded (as necessary) when you add users to your instance.

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing tier?

The cloud add-on tier is set automatically based on the license tier of the host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Cloud license for 25 users, your add-on tier is 25 users.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud add-ons, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud add-ons are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the add-on.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
