Unfortunately I cannot review this add-on as it is not available for version(s) 6+. Will there be an update?

Works well, although takes trial and error to configure due to lack of documentation. Neat trick - can also be used to hide the People directory from groups, by setting permissions on the "all" report.

Looks neat and could add new fields to profile, but couldn't find a way to make them editable. Developer offers the disclaimer that it's under heavy dev and is in beta, so I can't really complain. I may return to review again when/if it matures and there is better documentation.

Is it possible to create the Employee Directory by using only the internal Confluence directory and not LDAP? We are using the internal Confluence Directory, but would like to add phone numbers/department to the People Directory page.

Even though the configuration isn't user-friendly (I personally don't mind that much), this add-on just works great! And has lots of configurable options. I was able to show mobile phone numbers to employees, but not to contractors for example. Very nice, just what I was looking for!
