I miss the feature that you can select the zone of the screen that you want to take screenshot from at each click. Is there a reason why it's not available anymore? Thank you.

And it gets even better - we now support Mac!

Started using Step-Shot recently and the product is out of the box amazing; ability to create step by step documentation to all your needs. I think it would be great to add few steps needed to start using product (desktop app install silent, that in confluence need to allow third party connection and login is needed first); I was stuck at first but customer support replied promptly to all my needs and showed me how to use the product. Excellent product! Update: May 24-2017. I recently interacted with support and within a really short period they resolved my issue quickly. Great support and great product!

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, were my exact words when I saw this at Summit '16. User adoption didn't seem to take off until the MAC compatible version was complete but I am glad it has. When I first encountered it I had recently spent hours putting together user guides for my organization. A snip-it/snag-it here, MS Paint to add some arrows and wording, maybe a cut and paste into a Word doc, then upload to the site (I could have pasted the content directly to the page but old habits die hard.) I installed a home instance of Confluence just to play with this. I timed myself doing it the old way and then using StepShot. I'd done the old way for years and was proficient. Easily a 60% reduction in time. Granted that is from a 15 minute task to 6 but that adds up fast. Not to mention that was out of the box with StepShot. Very intuitive after I got it set up. (I had any issue with the install but that's what I get for using IE). I even reached out to the lead developer a few times for some help. This is a fun add-on and makes life easier. I actually go out and find things to build guides for now because of the ease of use. I hope the enhancements keep coming.

This is an amazing tool to capture the required user interaction for my product documentation. The only thing I need now is something that can predict what I need to document and do it for me :) Can't wait for the cloud version to become available.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does cloud add-on pricing work?

Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for host products and add-ons based on the number of users in your instance.

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Add-ons are billed based on the number of users in your host product. Confluence Cloud add-ons are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for add-ons.

The pricing structure for cloud products and add-ons will be changing July 31, 2017, as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 host product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.
    • If per-user pricing is not yet available for this add-on, please contact the vendor for further information.

If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, add-ons are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud add-ons.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud add-ons, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud add-ons are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the add-on.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Add-ons are billed based on the number of users in your host product. The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host product. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
