    More details

The Scaffolding add-on is a powerful tool for Atlassian Confluence that allows creation of permanent templates and editable forms.

Many macros are included which allow data to be entered into a form on a page. The data can then be manipulated, evaluated or compiled into reports.

Scaffolding does this by enabling edits of specified sections on a page when viewed by a user with the proper edit permissions.

At Kitti college, we use and love Scaffolding. Together with Reporting plugin, Scaffolding plugin allows us to change static into dynamic pages, eg. user can view only filtered data in a table. Although with some programming learning curves, it gives us reports that we want in the end. When we are in trouble, support team responses in timely manner. Thank you very much.

This is a very helpful macro. I have made extensive use of the live-template macro to effectively build a configuration management database (CMDB) within Confluence. Basically a Confluence page becomes a database record. You get structured data storage that is stored in the page. The "live template" controls how that structured data is reported. You still have the other features of Confluence such as attachments, comments, etc. I now have 99 server pages created. I decided to add a new field to capture a new piece of data for a server. I simply updated the live template and now each server page has that field. I still have to edit each server page to enter the data but the field is automatically there. Very cool and helpful add-on to Confluence. At a minimum give it a try. --Jeff

I have reported a bug for version 6.2.5 on 8th September, which makes it impossible to save data, if the page contains special chars like "&". The issue has been confirmed by support on 17th September and a bug report has been created. Now, many weeks have passed and a number of new versions have been released since, but the issue is still present. As they keep the bug tracking completely hidden from the customers, I have absolutely no status on the issue and the changelogs are not very detailed either. It took me some time to realize, that they didn't downgrade their former Zendesk-Support to just plain e-mail, but running a Salesforce-Support on https://servicerocket.desk.com, where I can at least keep track of all my issues, no data-migration for old cases from Zendesk unfortunately. Given the company's name, you would expect super fast support, with snapshot releases for urgent issues and excellent communication. This is not the case, in fact it is the slowest rocket I have ever seen.

    Hello Tim,

We are sorry for the inconvenience you've had due to this issue. Somehow, we are not able to replicate the not saving issue this time, despite having stacktrace thrown in the logs. It would be great you can provide us your System Info to further investigate this issue.

The plugin itself is great. we love to use it. On the other hand the Customer Support really needs to be improved: It is now 2 weeks since I have reported a crucial Bug in the 7.1.0 version which breaks the functionality for the plugin. Still, the fix in under time estimation. We would like to have a more reactive and responsible support.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
