The installation info is incorrect. It misses the step where you have to download a license. Also, the info on your website about the license is totally wrong. I spend half my day trying to install this. Then when I finally installed this piece of shit plug-in, it doesn't even work. An anonymous user still sees the unapproved pages and on top of that he gets an error on the page saying: Error rendering macro 'pageapproval' : null. You guys SUCK!

This is a truly wonderful plugin. Like a previous poster I'm interested in using the plugin to produce 'compliant' documents. I noticed that the page does indeed change as soon as any change is made (it becomes 'unapproved') But a new version is generated; separate from the approved version. It lists the 'last approved version' after a change is made. This means that the plugin is perfect for a compliant environment. The only problem would be whether it is considered 'secure' as it 'looks' so easy to change the document (page). I worked in pharmaceutical environments for some years and I never saw any compliance system as efficient and easy as Confluence with this plugin. These were systems that cost huge amounts of money and required enormous resources to keep them 'current'. IF indeed, the 'authorities' reckon that this plugin displaying the last approved version is not considered 'compliant' enough or 'secure' enough, it's easy enough to simply render to PDF and add certificates. I hope this plugin persists as it has great value to anyone who already uses Confluence and does not want to spend millions on a quality system. (It's free.) Many thanks for this. Even if it does not get 'adopted' it is a great tool to enable the building of a compliance 'structure'. As a final note: I really should have said that Confluence + this plugin is the BEST compliance system I have ever used. It allows Confluence to enable the writing and editing then an approval cycle without ever leaving Confluence. Many of the 'proper' systems I have worked with are almost unusable in real life and most of the resources are applied simply to keep the processes running. This makes it as simple as it should be.

Hello, in the sidebar of admin section, you can find "Page Approval" page to upload the license. Here's the full guide - https://docs.servicerocket.com/display/PA/Installation+and+Licensing

Page Approval appeared to do most of what was required in a regulated environment to prove that staff have read ('approved') SOPs and then discovered just now that an adding or removing labels to an approved page resets all users to unapproved. This is a *total showstopper* in our environment where Confluence labels are regularly added to or removed from pages to allow for sorting of pages and renders the Page Approval macro unusable.

I have not used the plugin myself, I installed it for someone who requested it. The installation instructions are misleading. When I got to the "You're all set!" part, I informed the user they could try the plugin, only to have it fail as it didn't have a license. I went and signed up to the servicerocket page and got the free license, and then licensed the plugin, but that's hardly "all set". As the free license has an expiry date this is another set of credentials and a login to keep track of and manage.
