Build solutions with Reporting and Scaffolding

Take advantage of links to guide users to create content following internal standards. Enforce meeting notes with timestamp, pages with common titles or catalogs with incremental IDs.

Move away from monotonous links. Get users to create pages automatically based on a template and create a list to specific locations like user profiles, templates, blogs and settings.

Combine with Reporting to create reports complete with links to report items. Use with Scaffolding to assist users in creating organized space and structured content.

I like the product, but it MUST have the ability to show links that are in Scaffolding fields. I mean, why else have this thing?

hi! we have a probem with the already mentioned duplicate links since we used version 3.0.6 of the plugin. the whole system crashes sometimes due to heap-memory error. the rootcause of this problem is the database table LINKS, which contains more than 30 million entries.. the system tries to follow these links until it runs out of memory. does someone has an idea how to get rid of these db-entries ? cheers, Thomas

Hi Thomas, thanks for the feedback. Can you please try updating your Linking plugin to the latest version which is compatible with your Confluence version? This was fixed in version 3.0.10, but you will also need to clean up the database using the SQL query provided here.

If the behavior is still the same, could you please reach out to us at our Support channel : support@servicerocket.com.

    Thank you.

I think they want you to sign up although instructions are unclear. This is the message you will get. The license could not be verified: There is no license certificate installed for CustomWare Linking Plugin for Confluence. Judging from other reviews, this is a hassle. There are alternatives.

UPDATE: The info message is more descriptive now.

Hi Mike, thanks for the feedback. The add-on indeed requires a license, which can be generated for free of charge. We'll improve the info message to be more descriptive. In the meantime, if you have more feedback or are looking for something specific to solve your problem in creating links in Confluence, I'd love to hear - email me at azwandi@servicerocket.com.

We are using a lot linking to create and link pages in Confluence. the ability to add a postfix and/or prefix as %page:title% with a variable number to pages (page-001, page-002, etc) is a must have. It helps a lot to normalize the documentation for product and version. Besides, the ability to link to a long list stuff like: parent, homepage, addpage, pagetree is powerfull. I will recommand this addon. Also, ServiceRocket has always been quick for bug tracking, question and support. Michael

I like it so far, but the links don't work after an HTML export!

Nancy, this sounds like a bug we should fix. Can you drop us a note at https://success.servicerocket.com/support/servicedesk, so we can identify which links are not working and get them fixed?

Samaritans uses this product on our Intranet. Our Intranet is used by 20,000 providing an invaluable service to the general public. We have been using Confluence for a number of years and this add on is key functionality which is embedded into and integral to our pages. Thank you for enabling us to use this! As far as I can see this plugin is actually not free. After installing it you are required to go to the ServiceRocket marketplace and get a license there. Yes, you can get a evaluation license that is valid for one month, however if you go for a production license you are going to have to pay (e.g. $500 for 2000 users). Don't get me wrong here. It's fine to pay for a good add-on but as this one is clearly marked for free here and also in the ServiceRocket marketplace this makes an unfortunate impression.

Hi Roland, I'm sorry about the false expectation - I can assure you it wasn't intended. At the time of writing this, we're in the middle of releasing version 5.0 and changing the add-on to a Paid add-on in a matter of a few hours time but clearly we've jumped the gun! An official announcement will be made soon.

By the way, thanks for letting us know about this. Can we offer something in return? Email me at azwandi@servicerocket.com

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host product. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your host product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
