    Instant synchronisation

The sole purpose of this add-on is to give a little bit of love to Project Managers that are keeping versions in sync between projects. Now you can update only a single project and we will propagate the changes for you.

Full Synchronisation will keep versions completely in sync with their "Master" project. Rogue versions will be removed. If this is to rigid, choose the event based synchronisation to only update specific changes.

The Version Sync add-on will instantly propagate version changes to all linked projects, allowing developers to select the appropriate fix version(s) as soon as you are done updating the version roadmap.

    More details

Although it can save you a lot of time, the Version Sync add-on can also be very destructive if not configured properly. The Version Sync add-on will alter the linked Project version configuration as soon as the link has been created. This can include deletion of versions, which also removes them from associated issues.

Even though we have an extensive set of automated and manual tests that are executed each release it is highly recommended to make a full back-up of your installation. If possible, install and test the add-on on a non-production JIRA instance.

Make sure you are fully aware of how the add-on configuration works and that you have confirmed that it is working as expected.

CollabSoft will not accept any responsibility in regard to the data integrity of your JIRA instance.

Please read the vendor statement in regard to the recent problems with add-on support and the availability of JIRA 7+ compatibility: http://eepurl.com/bHxbP9

I agree with the recent reviews. Do not get this plugin. It is faulty and there is NO support. I reported this to Atlassian because I believe that vendors like these should be removed from the Marketplace anymore.

Love the concept of the plugin but there are serious flaws. The biggest of which is the *total lack of support.* We have opened several support cases and never heard back. The biggest flaw we have experienced: If you edit the name of a the 'master' version that is propagated to other projects, it will wipe out the version for the linked projects. This is devastating for projects that use 'code names' for releases before numbering them. The lack of response over JIRA 7.x support is the last straw and we will have to find another solution to tracking the same version on multiple projects.

Listing is not correct - there really is no support on this plug in at all! Has some very serious issues (logged as far back as 2014) that are still outstanding and make it very risky for use on a large platform. Only install if you can afford to work without it or take additional time to manually create multiple versions in multiple projects yourself. just a couple of bugs which has affected us: It cannot unhook itself from a project whatsoever so if you ever link in a wrong direction, the system cannot ever relink the right way You cannot rename a version - it disappears and you lose all data in the child projects totally, which is very destructive

Are you guys going to update Version Sync for JIRA 7? I'm highly interested in this plugin, but it has to be compatible JIRA 7+ in my case.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons.

For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
