If you'd like accurate time tracking and good support, don't use this Tempo. For weeks they've had a critical bug where the remaining time estimate field does not update when logging time from the Tracker. Remaining time estimates are business critical information that many people use to gauge their pipeline and give estimates to clients, but the people at Tempo do not think this is important to fix despite opening a ticket in their support center. The ticket has been closed and no fix has been made. Not only is this bad customer support, it's likely in violation of their SLA.

    Tempo for JIRA

    Hi Patrick,

Thank you for your message. As mentioned in the ticket you have with us, this is a know problem for the current version of Timesheets for JIRA Cloud. As Tempo is currently moving Tempo Timesheets add-on for JIRA Cloud to a new cloud technology, we won't be able release new fixes for the current cloud version.

The new version is built on the Atlassian Connect framework, this new framework is a scalable platform for add-ons that supports rich integration with JIRA Cloud and will improve the performance and reliability of our product. Right now, all of our focus is on improving this new version, and the Tracker has been successfully implemented in our new version (the remaining time estimates populate correctly when logging time from the Tracker). If you are still experiencing problems once you are migrated to the new version or have any other questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us again.

Read more about the new version of Tempo Timesheets for Cloud here.

Hello, We have already seen the export to .csv, but it does not export the filters that are reported, it exports all the initial information. If I want to export only what is filtered I can not. Also, it would be more useful to export to excel. Thank you.

    Tempo for JIRA

    Hi Sergio,

Thanks for taking the time and letting us know! We are in the process of building Tempo Timesheets for JIRA Cloud to a new cloud technology to improve performance and to be able to deliver solutions our customers need faster and more frequently.

You noticed the new cloud version of Timesheets is lacking some functionality we have had in place on Timesheets Server for a while.

Our core focus now is to build out what is missing and to improve user experience and on-boarding. Last monday we released cvs exporting and we plan on having excel export available within a month. Next week we are delivering improved on-boarding, helping users setting up permissions correctly among other things.

As Timesheets product manager I am currently sitting next to the HelpCenter team in order to hear first hand where we need to improve. So we are actively listening, building and solving problems our users are experiencing. Every week our users are seeing improvements and new functionality delivered.

I can't wait to make available all the great things we plan on building ;)

    All the best

Absolutely useless. reports cannot be exported, hence, all your logs are boxed within jira and you don't have access to it. Configuration is a nightmare, trying to see the logs for an entire team or a set of users is horrible. i would give 0 stars if i could, but as in so many other aspects, Tempo forces me to do something I don't want/need to and I have to give 1 star

    Tempo for JIRA

    Hi John,

Thank you for your feedback. This week we have rolled out the ability to export to .csv, so you should have easy access to your worklogs outside of JIRA. I am sorry you have had trouble with Tempo's configuration, but if you submit a request through our HelpCenter I would be more than happy to walk you through it. It is important for us to provide a seamless configuration to our users.

    Kind regards,

Tempo just froze and reset all my logged work. Can't find any way of restoring the data. Fubar. Also not being able to export reports to excel makes it kind of useless.

Good enough in terms of logging, but I couldn't find "export to excel". It seems to be a bug

    Tempo for JIRA

    Hi Anatoly,

Thank you for your message. Exporting to Excel is not currently available in the latest version of Tempo Timesheets for JIRA Cloud, but we are releasing the export to .csv in the upcoming week.

    Pricing

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does cloud add-on pricing work?

Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, your pricing tier for host products and add-ons is automatically adjusted (as necessary) based on the number of users in your instance.

If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, add-ons are also billed annually. Annual subscriptions for this add-on include a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing tier?

The cloud add-on tier is set automatically based on the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you have JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, your add-on tier is 50 users.

Note: While this add-on has features specific to JIRA Service Desk, the add-on is technically available across the whole JIRA instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud add-ons, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud add-ons are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the add-on.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons.

For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
