As a Confluence administrator you can get an outline of the backend settings (global and email template) and a system overview for the Task Reminder.

    More details

Task Reminder is an add-on to remind Confluence users of their expired and soon expiring inline tasks. The reminder email is localized within the user language.

At the moment the add-on supports the following languages:

    • "de"
    • "en" (default language)
    • "es" (Thanks to Pedro!)
    • "nl" (Thanks to Auke!)
    • "ru" (Thanks to Тимур!)
    • "lt" (Thanks to Justas!)

As a Confluence administrator you can get an overview of the plugin settings on a configuration page and edit the settings for the Task Reminder:

    • Date range that determines how many days prior to the expiration date of a task the user will get a reminder email
    • User group
    • Email subject
    • Date pattern

Great job! This add-on is designed to do exactly what we need. Special thanks to Mr. Johannes Stadler for providing professional support. Scandio installed LT language pack, improved e-mail readability, refactored task gathering algorithm, added visibility of user mentions and links. We love it! :)

Confluence is relatively new at our company, and people have been using tasks like crazy, but annoyed that there's no notification mechanism like this. This plugin scratches that itch for people. It does what it says, and the price is right. We've encountered a few issues, which the developer has been very responsive to in providing fixes. I'd like to see a little more control over the formatting of the message, as well as some form of throttling for those tasks that simply aren't ever getting checked off. It would be nice to see less emails go out for those over time.

This is a very useful add-on which sends out reminder to users for any expiring tasks, unresolved task, and expired task. One of the drawback of this macro is that you cannot set reminder for a specific group; reminders are sent to all users. We found the Handy Maros to be a bit more user friendly because it allows users to set reminder to a specific task and individual(s).

    Hi Kim Nguyen,

thanks for your feedback! As we are using the Confluence internal tasks API, it is only possible to assign Confluence personal tasks to a user and not to a group. This is the reason why we only can send the reminder to the related user. If Atlassian adds the capability to assign tasks to groups we will implement this feature, too.

    Best regards

1- Under setting, we need to update the group details who will be getting the reminders. Can this be restricted to users, because many time it may be annoying for others to receive such kind of email? 2-Does only confluence admins have the privilege to change the setting? Cant it be done by space admins? Appreciate if someone can answer above questions.

    Hi Nibedita,

sorry for the late reply. For faster support you can contact us anytime at https://help.scandio.de/servicedesk.

    1. The solution I would propose is to create a new group (e.x. "task-reminder-users") and add the user you want to receive mails to this group. Then you add this group in the Task Reminder settings.2. Only Confluence administrators can change the settings at the moment. This is by design, because the reminder mails get sent by a Confluence job, which has a global scope and no space scope.Hope that helps and thank you very much for using our plugin.

    Best regards
