Hello, we are testing this tool, and it looks good. However, we find it hard to understand why Log Work form doesn't display the description of the issue that the user selected by typing within Issue field. After issue is selected, the form displays just its short code, which doesn't really help user to be sure if he/she selected the right one to log work for. I suggest one or two extra lines of text in small print to show the same 'path' and description of the issue as Jira shows it in Issue form. Could this be improved soon? Thank you.

Hi Bostjan, We are using a JIRA issue picker here and this is the defined behaviour of this picker, it can't be changed. I agree that it would be better to see key and summary after having selected an issue, but this would mean that we could not use the JIRA picker any longer but would need to create our own solution or workaround. However, I will create a feature request for this.

Hello, we use it and we are ok with it but I have one particular feedback on the new time tracker functionality: why it does not fill the from-to rather than length? At least it should be somehow consistent with the rest of ictime - now when I set that we use only from-to, the time tracker is useless entirely. I would very much welcome if the time tracker supported from-to (can be configurable).

    Interconcept GmbH

Hi Miroslav, The reason why from-to is currently not supported is the fact that this conflicts with the option to "pause" the tracker. We are planning to add an option to use from-to instead of the result for those active trackers that have not been paused.

Great plugin for logging time with very nice reporting facilities. BUT, and that but is very annoying: I hid the normal Log Work button and after trial expiry and de-installation, it is still hidden! So now no one is able to log work. THAT is no way for a plugin to behave. How to get the normal Log Work button back?

    Interconcept GmbH

Sorry for the trouble. ictime itself does not hide JIRA's log work functionality, but offers two buttons that change the respective JIRA settings. We do that because the way to do it manually in JIRA is very complex. Unfortunately, it is technically impossible for ictime to activate the JIRA functionality again on trial expiration or uninstall, because it requires a real user action of an admin user, the plugin itself simply can't execute this action. To change the settings in JIRA again, please read the instructions under https://interconcept.atlassian.net/wiki/display/ICTIME/General+Configuration#GeneralConfiguration-RevertHidingJIRALogWorkOperations/Tabs%28WithoutictimeInstalled/Enabled%29. If you have problems, please contact our support. We will consider to add some more information directly in ictime at the place where you can hide the JIRA functionality.

Great plugin for logging time with very nice reporting facilities. Support responds fast and resolves problems quickly. One suggestion: please add search for worklog attributes to the reports interface!

Hi Thorsten, Thanks for your review! Being able to search for work log attributes is scheduled for version 4.3 (no release date yet, but probably still first quarter of this year).

Nice tool. We need to register time exactly with start & end for some projects and only ictime does that. We do our monthly billing based on reports and use the option to set different prices for different kinds of work. Only thing we are really missing is the ability to configure exports to avoid manual work on the xls. We use exports for customer reporting and would need to hide some data.

Thanks for your friendly review! The next major version of ictime, 4.0 - to be released within the next weeks - has the option to define available columns for each export (and also to add JIRA custom fields). Hope this will save you some work.

    Pricing

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons.

For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
