Get the best out or you SVGs: functional links with tool-tips, dynamic content, crop, advanced sizing, pan & zoom and much more

    Links keep functional

    Pan and zoom SVGs

    Align, change size and crop

All links in the SVG keep fully functional. You can also add links to any element in the SVG and replace existing links by Confluence links.

For big SVGs like flowcharts pan & zoom is a valuable feature. It also works on touch devices and on the server version not only for attachments but also for SVGs provided by other plugins.

Align your image (left, center, right and right with text float)! Change the size of your image independently in x- and y-direction! You do not want to show the whole SVG? Simply crop it!

    Pan and zoom SVGs

    Align, change size and crop

Keep the links embedded in the SVG fully functional. The additional link replacement functionality prevents unnecessary update work when linked Confluence content moves.

    More details

The SVG Out plug-in provides SVG support for Confluence. The core features are:

    • Links keep functional: all embedded links in the SVG keep functional.
    • Link replacement: you can replace links embedded in the SVG by Confluence links which are automatically updated when the content moves. No unnecessary update work! In addition you can define tool-tips for those links.
    • Cloud-only: add links to the SVG
    • Re-size the SVG independently in x- and y-direction or in % of the available width.
    • Align the image: left, center, right.
    • Crop the image.
    • Pan & zoom: A nice feature for bigger SVGs. Try it out!
    • Dynamic content: you have a SVG with embedded JS? Most of them work!
    • Export to PDF and Word

The server version has the following additional features:

    • Use SVG output of other plugins like Graphviz and PlantUML
    • Text elements of the SVG are findable using Confluence search.

A basic security check reduces the risk of cross-site-scripting attacks which come along with SVGs.

Author responds very fast to issues and fixes generally also get implemented in a timely manner. This plugin does support hyperlinking, e.g. a link inside a SVG redirects the browser to that page.

Fills in the SVG gap left by Atlassian. It is elegant, fast and handy. I like the pan & zoom facility very much. Thanks a bunch!

Works great in the web UI, not so great in the iOS native app. Instead of displaying the diagram, the following text is displayed: Loading add-on SVG Out Cloud. Add-on SVG Out Cloud is not responding. Wait or cancel? Add-on SVG Out Cloud failed to load. Shame - it's laughable that Confluence doesn't natively support SVGs in this day and age.

    Dear Peter,

thank you for the mixed feedback. I'm glad to hear that the plugin fulfills your requirements at least on the web. I totally agree that it would be great to have the plugin working in the iOS app. However the iOS app currently blocks all so called "dynamic content macros" - this also affects other plugins like draw.io or PlantUML. As soon as Atlassian moves with the iOS app we will catch up.

Remark: Confluence Cloud does support the pure output of SVGs natively with some drawbacks: resize not always working, no links, no dynamic content etc.

    Kind regards, Andreas

If you need to use SVGs in confluence cloud, this is the solution. Also, Andreas is responsive and open to improving it. Thank you Andreas!

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for host products and apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud products and apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 host product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.
    • If per-user pricing is not yet available for this app, please contact the vendor for further information.

If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.
