    Script Execution

    The Script Engine task is available in either Build or Deployment plans. It can be run inline on the build agent or after the build on the build server if the agent is a remote agent.

    Scripts be be specified inline or on a file on the build agent. Scripts can be any JSR223 script engine installed on your build agent or server.

    Script can interact with any Bamboo API exposed through injection. They can modify build variables, logs, and many other actions.

    The Script Engine Task permits you to execute JSR 223 scripts in the context of the build or deployment plan. These scripts can interact with Bamboo through the Bamboo API similar to those functions available within a standard plugin. Most manager instance functions are exposed with a variable name identical to the manager name except the first characters is lower case.

    Installation

    1. Log into your Bamboo instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Script Engine via search. Results include add-on versions compatible with your Bamboo instance.
    5. Click Install to download and install your add-on.
    6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
