    I want to give this product 5 stars, but its performance (very poor) is getting worse. I'm about to roll this out across the whole company, and am now faced with the dilemma that I should use another solution. How can I convince a business to use this when it’s unusable? The lack (no) up to date documentation is also shocking, although as an IT professional I have managed to fudge my way through most of it without. This truly would be a great product which at least suits a software house 100% along with Timesheets. However the performance issues are a major issue, and one why I would warn any business away from this solution.

    I've spent several days working with Tempo Planner, attempting to develop it as a replacement for the MS Project and Excel tools I currently use to manage a team of 35 across 30+ projects. Here is what I have found so far: 1. It's not intuitive, and the help materials are limited. Walking through the videos helps, but it's just a start, and there are some areas that I can't find any good documentation on (like the concepts behind time periods and percent efforts for resources, and how they relate to capacity planning). But then MS Project is anything but intuitive, so I'd like to think my expectations here are realistic. 2. Planner seems to be able to do about 50% of what I need, but... 3. Tempo does not appear to be interested in any serious way in understanding my need or helping me understand Planner beyond the materials online. I've provided them with copies of my current tools, I've listed the high level things I need to do, and have asked to have a phone call with someone to walk through my use cases. I'd like to see if I can clear up some of my questions, and understand the future direction of this product. Even if it doesn't support 100% of my need, if it's headed in the right direction and Tempo is willing to listen to feedback, I'm up for investing the time to try to make it work. There has been no interest in a phone call, and otherwise the response was referral to the existing Help materials, and the suggestion that maybe Tempo Budgets might help (apparently expecting me to spend more time trying to figure out another product that might or might not be appropriate). Here are the things I need Jira/Tempo/Whatever to do: a. Look at resources over time from a project/sponsor perspective, ie who is on a project at what effort for the next 12 months. b. Look at resources over time from a resource manager perspective, ie organized by staff member. Ideally I’d be able to associate a manager with each resource and filter by that to get the resource manager view. c. Look at projects over time from a staff perspective, ie what am I as a team member assigned to at what levels for the next 12 months? d. I also need to be able to characterize the team utilization, ie compare capacity to utilization to say what percentage of the team is assigned to a project. I currently do this in Excel. I realize some of these might be beyond the scope of Planner, but that's exactly what I'd like to talk to someone about to better understand.

    I think the cloud version is broken... after trying to install the Tempo menu added has 2 items on it. The only setup guide and the video guides do not line up at all with the features shown. There are other tempo products that enhance this one but we can't seem to find the features this product advertises as stand alone.

    How does cloud add-on pricing work?

    Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, your pricing tier for host products and add-ons is automatically adjusted (as necessary) based on the number of users in your instance.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, add-ons are also billed annually. Annual subscriptions for this add-on include a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing tier?

    The cloud add-on tier is set automatically based on the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you have JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, your add-on tier is 50 users.

    Note: While this add-on has features specific to JIRA Service Desk, the add-on is technically available across the whole JIRA instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud add-ons, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud add-ons are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the add-on.

    If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.

    This maintenance version of Tempo Planner 4.0 includes fixes of the following:

    Installation

    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Tempo Planner for JIRA via search. The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Tempo Planner for JIRA. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Tempo Planner for JIRA begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.

    To find older Tempo Planner for JIRA versions compatible with your instance, you can look through our version history page.

    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
