    Recently had a configuration issue that I couldn't track down on my own. Kit Tin Mak patiently walked through the various scenarios with me until we identified the problem and I could fix it on my end. Responsive support is key!

    I have to say that the Support team at Spartez are some of the most knowledgeable and responsive people I have ever interacted with. Shout out to Kit Tin Mak! I've bugged him repeatedly over the past few weeks and can also expect quick responses to my tickets. That aside, my review of the tool is below. Overall, the tool gets the job done. One of my only gripes is the pricing structure. I'm the only person at my company performing a migration from TFS to JIRA but I need to pay for the licenses for everyone. I would like the option to only buy 1 license. I find this to be quite frustrating because we're a small company and every dollar counts. I would like to maybe see an option to buy a couple of licenses rather than one for every JIRA user.

    As for the price model, we are not able to change it because it is bonded with Atlassian Marketplace, and the add-on license size has to match the Jira instance size due to Atlassian Marketplace policy limitation.

    This didn't work out of the box. Kept receiving "the underlying connection was closed" errors when trying to connect to Jira cloud and Git. Support was very responsive and the fix was to add targetFramework="4.6.1" to my httpRuntime tag in web.config.

    Plugin is really well made, but what is best is top notch support for it. Very fast reply on support cases, even video call is possible to solve things fast. We are using it for more than 2 yrs, never had an issue. Once thay have made custom TFS4JIRA Synchronizer app for us to fix issue fast. Also they have implemented features that we have required. I can really recomand.

    First of all thanks for the great support that you delivered for the intigration between TFS and JIRA. The installation was duable and Kit and Pawel have simply been amazing after i had some issues. I am using this product to synchronize my JIRA items to VSTS. After this synchronisation my developers can check-in VSTS items directly made and synchronized from JIRA. All my check-ins, comments and changesets are now properly synchronized. Thanks!

    There is a reason that the Spartez add-on, TFS4JIRA, is the most well known add-on for TFS and JIRA integration. The app is very easy to use and if you spend some time working to understand the synchronizer, your move to JIRA will be very simple. One thing I will say is that the documentation can seem very general but that is only because TFS and JIRA instances can very greatly from company to company so the error log and a support responses is where you will really learn the correct configuration set-up. Every error question I had was answered within 1 business day, they are really on top of the support tickets. Highly recommend this application, it was clear right away that it would fit our needs. We didn't even wait for the entire trial period to expire, we purchased after the first week so we can get going on our integration.

    Contacted Support via email 6 days ago. Other than receiving an automated reply right away, I have followed up twice in email without response. I also created an account at https://jira.spartez.com trying to create a ticket but TFS4JIRA is not listed as an option of project for opening a ticket. We followed the document to set up VSTS to JIRA synchronization. The synchronizer runs successfully according to its status but nothing shows up in JIRA.

    How does cloud app pricing work?

    Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for host products and apps based on the number of users in your instance.

    If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing?

    Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. Jira Cloud apps are priced based on the maximum users of the Jira products on your instance. For example, if you have Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you pay the 50-user price for apps.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for licensing across maximum users still apply.

    The pricing structure for cloud products and apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 host product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, apps are also billed annually at a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    How does server app pricing work?

    Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

    How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

    If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.

    Installation

    1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate TFS4JIRA via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for TFS4JIRA. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. TFS4JIRA begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.

    To find older TFS4JIRA versions compatible with your instance, you can look through our version history page.

    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Find new add-ons screen loads.
