    While running the 1.x version on Linux couldn't convince me to purchase a license, the 2.x version is a big improvement. There are only 2 things still missing for me: * better support for dark desktop themes (fonts aren't always readable in dark textboxes because they don't seem to follow the theme colors) * a portal to manage your licenses when you have multiple computers you work on. Once those are fixed I'll change my rating to 4 stars ;-) Also the support via email is very responsive and helpful.

    Thanks so much for your comments about v2. It was definitely hard work and it's rewarding to see it pay off in this way. Regarding the dark themes, it would be great if you can send an example screenshot of the font issues you're experiencing to support@worklogassistant.com. The license management portal is definitely on the roadmap.

    We have been using Worklog Assistant for the last 3.5 years and find it incredibly useful. Great support and whilst the switch from v1 to v2 is a bit jarring I'm confident the kinks will be ironed out.

    This app is crazy. As in crazy simple to use, and insanely responsive and helpful support. Seriously, I don't think I've ever gotten better support from any vendor.

    • Fractional hours support in timesheet.

    • New behaviour for away dialog:
      1. A worklog is created for the task (if any) that was running before you went away
      2. A worklog is created for the task (if any) while you were away
      3. The timer is started on the new task, if there is one

      This simplifies previous logic that used to potentially not restart the timer in specific cases.

      This change will create 3 worklogs in the situation where you were working on task X before you went away, while you were away, and after you returned. However, You can use the "Combine" worklogs feature in the Pending Worklogs tab to combine them into one before you submit the worklog.

    • Allow disabling of update notifications by administrators. On Windows, add an entry to the .ini configuration file as follows:

            [UpdateManager]
            notificationsEnabled=false
            

      On MacOS, add a similar entry in the plist file.

    • Combined worklogs will no longer contain duplicate comments, however any combined comments will be comma-separated.
    • Add build date in about dialog
    • Do not let invalid connections prevent publishing worklogs. See support forum.
    • MAJOR FIX: Work around race condition in JIRA where worklogs submitted in quick succession (sub-second gap) caused JIRA to use stale values ultimately resulting in incorrect total time spent. To fix any potential errors on your instance, open a support ticket with Atlassian and get them to re-index your worklogs, including the total time spent.
    • On Windows, fix elapsed time spent when screen was manually locked, as opposed to automatically locked.
    • Linux: fix invalid desktop file
