    Skill Finder macros

All employees’ shared skills and endorsements are collected to a searchable database of talents. Additional filters to narrow down search results to the very specific skills needed.

Specify and share your own skills to help your colleagues and receive their recognition of your expertise. You can always find all your endorsers, add/remove or share/unshare your skills.

Skill Finder macro displays skills profile of a user, chosen by adjustable algorithm of user rotation, and allows one-click endorsement of a user’s skills. You can place these banners on any confluence pages.

Hello, This is a very good idea, and an interesting plug-in, but it is buggy. I gave it a rating of "2 stars" because of the bugs, making it almost impossible to roll-out in a production environment. However, without the bugs, it would be a "4 stars", because it is a much needed feature within Confluence. Is this plug-in still supported ? I created a ticket on the Luxoft portal, and nothing. All other opened tickets have not been updated since April 20, 2 months ago. Please advise. Regards, Christian Brien

Hi, I find the plugin overall useful. However, it has some limitations: (1 - UPD: fixed) external support process is weak as JIRA isn't accessible for adding issues; (2 - UPD: have created a feature request) a specific person' skills macro could be useful but there's no such macro yet; (3) skills are not searchable via unified Confluence' search. Would rate as 4* when this would be fixed.

Hi, Evgeny. Thank you for the feedback.

    (1) We fixed our feedback process, now customers may add issues by the link: https://luxoft.atlassian.net/secure/Dashboard.jspa

    (2) Currently specific peron's skills may be found in a personal profile. On the other hand, macros is available which shows skills for persons, changing in time. Please share a case with us to show a single user's skills by macros.

    (3) That's a great case and we added it in the backlog

Works fine w/ v5.8.5 but there is a glitch with avatars displaying in found results and user-endorse macro. They are too large to fit the space. Does not look pretty. Hope it will be fixed soon, please.

Hi, Karel! Thank you for your feedback. Please check our upgraded version of add-on: there is a lot of improvements.

Regarding glitch with avatars you mention: we are displaying the avatar pics provided by Confluence as is. Does this glitch appear only inside of Skill Finder? Could you please share with us a screenshot to our e-mail: atlassian@luxoft.com We’ll be glad to investigate the issue and help.

Solid addon, would be even cooler, if it were integrated into the standard search of confluence.

Hi Michael. Thank you, it looks like a cool feature. It makes sense for me to add it in the product.

    Pricing

    Pricing details are loading…

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
