This is the best add-on product. This vendor provides great support quickly. I am very grateful that I can use this product in Japan. I'd love to introduce it to other users and encourage them to use it.

This is a great add-on, flexible and very useful. In addition, the support behind the add-on is top-notch. We had a problem with the plugin after upgrading Confluence from 6.1.3 to 6.3.1 - I submitted a ticket and Christian reached out to me to help me resolve it. We are in the Pacific Time Zone and he's in the Central European Time (CET) Zone - an 8 hour difference. Time conflicts were such that he was helping me at 8pm, his local time. Wonderful support - very helpful, and they make sure the problem is addressed.

Really good plugin and very easy to setup with ADFS. Support is fast and efficient. Extra actions we needed to do for `auto login` : - On ADFS add agents for IE and FF `Set-AdfsProperties –WIASupportedUserAgents @("MSAuthHost/1.0/In-Domain","MSIE 6.0","MSIE 7.0","MSIE 8.0","MSIE 9.0","MSIE 10.0","Trident/7.0", "MSIPC","Windows Rights Management Client","Mozilla/5.0","Edge/12")` https://www.blackforce.co.uk/2016/06/24/single-sign-chrome-firefox-edge-adfs-3-0 - We also needed to add in IE and Firefox (via GPO) trusted site on local intranet (myadfs.example.com). For IE : https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd572939(v=office.13) . For FF : https://www.liquidstate.net/enabling-ntlm-authentication-single-sign-on-in-firefox/ With this setup Chrome, FF and IE 11/Edge works with auto login. Highly recommended plugin!

Easy to setup for Jira/Confluence and Bitbucket. Only have the metadata file from your IdP administrator and load it into SSO plugin config screen, review some default configurations if don't match your IdP requirements and SAML Authentification is running.

    Hi Michael,

sorry that this was your experience. It means you have activated the redirect without testing the IdP Login first.

Here is a KB Article for our Documentation on how to login when the SSO functionality is not set up correctly: https://wiki.resolution.de/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=97125213

It would have been better if you had contacted our support team instead of just leaving a one star review - if you like some help with the setup just book a free screenshare session https://resolution.de/go/calendly and one of our engineers will help you with the setup.

But you are certainly right: you should test in a dev environment before you do changes to the authentication of your Atlassian Apps - that's just good practice.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For Jira Server 7.0 or later, the app tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed Jira products on your instance. For example, if you're running Jira Software (50 users) and Jira Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for apps. For versions of Jira Server prior to 7.0, the app tier should match the licensed user tier for Jira. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Jira license, the two licenses should match exactly.Note: While this app has features specific to Jira Service Desk, the app is technically available across the whole Jira instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server apps, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server apps are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.

    Version 2.0.11 Jira Server 7.0.4 - 7.8.1 Released 2018-03-16

    • Added support for delegated directories in Crowd, this requires an additional Crowd add-on, see our knowledge base article.

    • Fixed a bug that could cause performance issues in large instances during the periodical cleanup of response IDs.
    • The cookie ‘selectedidp’, saving which IdP the user selected last time, is now marked as secure over HTTPS connections. Best-practice improvement.
