On 2015-01-23 official support for this plugin will ended. Source code is available for customers wishing to use it further. No maintenance or bug fixes will be done after the date.

This plugin lets you run executables when events happen JIRA. For each selected event you can create an executable, it will be executed each time JIRA sends a notification. Plugin currently supports issue events, user events and custom events.

For example you can run a script when issue is updated, or created, or commented, etc.

Added support for User Events

JIRA 6.0 compatibility


  1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
  4. Locate Automat via search. Results include add-on versions compatible with your JIRA instance.
  5. Click Install to download and install your add-on.
  6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
