    Agents can choose one of the sample comments

    You can have as many template comments as you want, each is processed and can include the reporter and agent first name, issue attributes and links etc.

    Template comments will only appear if their condition is matched, so you make them specific to users, roles, reporter companies and so on

    If you have set a comment to be the default, that will automatically be populated. Either way, the agent can select the most appropriate comment.

    This plugin is for ScriptRunner for JIRA users, and provides configurable template comments for replying to customers.

    The templates can use attributes of the current issue, linked issues, the reporter and current user, to create personalised comments.

    Administrators can set up different available templates for different projects, or roles etc.

    You can also specify a template to be used by default.

    Installation

    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Template comments for JIRA Service Desk via search. Results include add-on versions compatible with your JIRA instance.
    5. Click Install to download and install your add-on.
    6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
