    A great plugin that helped us a lot with our agile development process. The author also went above and beyond the call of duty by helping us with problem in an outdated Jira instance. He providing a nice fix after debugging our scenario and was very responsive to our mails and bug report. I totally recommend it!

    This is plug in is really one great tool to provide quick visual references and reminders to complete certain action items for tickets and has helped us tremendously. One more question: Is it possible to do it so that the notification emails contain the "Status"? As it stands, we can see what's being checked or unchecked, but do not see what status it was marked as unless we look into JIRA. Let me know if this is something that I'm missing or on the roadmap...

    The fact that this is not available for Cloud Jira makes me cry rivers of tears at night. This is probably the most valuable JIRA add on and it's a sin not to have on Cloud Jira.

    Thanks for the review and sorry to make you cry at night :-) The current state of cloud add-ons could not have enabled us to build the exact same thing. However, other vendors offer a cloud version and some for free.

    The addon is quite good, thank you for your great works. Here's a question : can this addon work with JIRA REST api? We deploy some public task automatically with JIRA api, but for the checklist addon, I can only create ONE item with REST api (update the customfield with {"name": "xxxxxx","mandatory": "false", "checked": "false" }, but I cannot create multiple options with a list. Can I know the feasibility of creating multi-option checklist with JIRA REST api?

    Thank you for the review! Unfortunately, the add-on doesn't currently support REST and using the standard customfield REST API indeed only allows you to create one item in a list. This is a popular request so I will try to support this in the upcoming months.

    I loved the plugin. Now that I started using the Cloud JIRA version I am dissapointed there is no support for it. Why so?

    Thank you for the review! At one point we were exploring the possibility to have a cloud version but it was basically impossible to provide the same experience and it is still impossible to provide the entire feature set that Checklist currently has. Also, other things kept us away from it and now other alternatives have emerged. That being said, we still keep it in mind but I cannot say if and when we would be doing it.

    How does server add-on pricing work?

    Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my server pricing?

    Add-ons are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA products on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons. For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.Note: While this add-on has features specific to JIRA Service Desk, the add-on is technically available across the whole JIRA instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

    How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

    If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.

    Fixed in this release:

    • Post-Workflow function not run when no checklists are selected in the Applicable Checklist field and Conditional Rules exists. The post-workflow function will now be applied even if the Applicable Checklist field is left empty.
    • Post-workflow function not correctly appending items when issue level items already exist in the checklist. The function now takes into account existing items in the checklist.


    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Checklist for JIRA via search. The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Checklist for JIRA. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Checklist for JIRA begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.
