More details
All projects have budgets, milestones, deadlines and releases. In order to accomplish these, we use a metaphor of a “production line” i.e. the stages through which the User Stories have to proceed in order to get delivered:
1. Specification
2. Implementation
3. Acceptance
As it is very expensive to discover and fix problems at the wrong stage, the key to our quality process are the take-over procedures between the stages. Before a User Story can move from Specification to Implementation, a Definition of READY is verified. Then, before the User Story is sent to the Acceptance stage, it is examined against the Definition of DONE.
The three general stages are divided into more detailed statuses of Nomtek Standard Workflow. On the workflow’s diagram each stage is represented by one colour: Specification is blue, Implementation is yellow and Acceptance is green. The detailed meaning of each status and transition is discussed within a separate article.
