Finally a plugin that allows us to export requirements into a layout that we can present to our clients. I've been looking for this for a while and I'm so happy I found this. Customer support is awesome! Very timely and gave me exactly the information i needed to solve my problem. A big thumbs up

First, we are admittedly using an older version of the JIRA PDF plugin, 3.5, which is the only version we can run with our older JIRA version. We are interested in printing Agile Cards but the output we are seeing is very plain and doesn't match what's shown in the vendor screen shots. Also the only way we can print the cards is through the issue Navigator. We realize there's no help for that, however, I have to evaluate based on the version we have. If we upgrade to a later version with more features and functionality I will update my review accordingly. P.S. Support was very good.

Thanks for writing the review, Franklin!

    • By the "very plain" look you probably mean that the user avatar and the issue type icon is missing from your agile card export. The support for SVG and project / user / issue type / priority avatars was added in add-on version 5.2.0, which requires JIRA 6.4 or newer. Workaround: there is no real workaround, you will have to live without the avatars and SVG in pre-5.2.0 versions.
    • The export menu was introduced to the JIRA Agile screens (backlog and board views) in add-on version 4.0.0, which also requires JIRA 6.4 or newer. Workaround: like you pointed out, you can run a JQL query like "sprint = Whatever" in Issue Navigator, and then export the cards. This just adds one extra step and ten seconds of time to flow.

Therefore I suggest you to either continue with the work-arounds above, or upgrade to a newer JIRA version and re-evaluate. (Please note that pre-7 JIRA versions are already end-of-life and unsupported by Atlassian, so upgrading is something that your team will have to do soon.)

Nice plugin to create SLA-reports, release notes and much more. Very customizable, deals fine with custom fields also!

The only thing better than this plugin is their support. Some questions here and there are one thing, but they've gone above and beyond answering my noob inquiries as I've struggled through custom PDF creation. Functionality is excellent, support is superb and responsive. Great plugin and company.

Our company is using Tempo Timesheets for Time-Tracking and for our monthly reports for accounting. The build-in reports didn't match our requirements, so we decided to test the "PDF View Plugin for JIRA" for well designed PDF reports with custom templates. Actually we had problems displaying reports in a certain timeframe and showing the billing hours. We have contacted the vendor Midor and got great help and some workarounds to solve our problems. Now we are able to print nice monthly accounting reports for our clients. Thank you very much for the great support.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons.

For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Note: While this add-on has features specific to JIRA Service Desk, the add-on is technically available across the whole JIRA instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.

    Version 5.7.1 JIRA Server 6.4 - 7.3.6 Released 2017-02-23

Important bugfix: #cfValue() macro doesn't render randomly

This version fixes the problem of the #cfValue() and other Velocity macros not rendering randomly: at some exports (including both manual and automated ones), they appear in the PDF document in their original form.

Root cause: there is a potential race condition in JIRA's internal macro caching, that we could successfully reproduce with a Python script that simulates rendering PDF documents while generating unusual load also on the JIRA web interface.

Fix: although the problem is not in the PDF View Plugin side, we managed to develop a fix for this.

We also reported the problem for Atlassian here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-64200
