Fantastic service! I reported an issue archiving a space with 2,588 pages with 57% out of date on SQL Server 2008. Ferenc at Midori re-engineered the code overnight(!) to handle the SQL Server limitation. Now that's a way to inspire customer loyalty!

Wasn't this plugin free at one point? It's very useful but I note now looking at this site that its a paid plugin?

Thanks for your time on writing the review!

Yes, it was a free plugin, but we were simply unable to allocate resources to develop and maintain it as free anymore (especially keeping it uptodate with the increasingly frequent Confluence releases). We didn't want to give up on it, many users relied on it in production, so going commercial and sharing the development costs left the only option.

We are a mid size not for profit company that works with schools to improve student achievement across the US. We struggle with the resources to maintain our ever expanding Wiki site. The Archiving Plugin for Confluence has revolutionized the way that we look at maintaining our Wiki instance. Not only has it reduced our out of date pages it has vastly reduced our IT teams administrative time for maintaining pages and spaces. We have found the service team responsive and look forward to working with them and utilizing their product. The plugin has allowed content owners to take ownership of their out of date content and our users love the email updates. Our policies and procedures are now up to date and expired content is now safely archived! Not to mention saving valuable dollars on storage costs. Thanks Midori Global Consulting. As we all know information becomes dated very quickly and a tool like this is essential to sort the cruft. I initially had problems in a space because of a dodgy database which caused this plugin to bail out. I am happy to say that the support and assistance with troubleshooting was fantastic and something you would normally only get with a paid plugin. I would also like to see a feature whereby the archiving occurs a set time after the last page view.

I have been using the Archiving Plugin to keep track of old pages, our company policy states that periodical reviews are mandatory and this helps a lot in managing this policy. There is also those static pages you might forget about, and makes it really really easy to clean up our hierarchy. The setup was fairly easy and when I ran into trouble, the support team were very helpful and speedy to give me advice, they further questioned me on the resolution of my issues to make sure I had successfully set the plugin up and it was working. Thanks for the support, it's great to know there is someone to ask when you're stuck. Cheers, Ryan.

Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How do upgrades and renewals work?

You can upgrade your Atlassian host product license to increase the user tier for add-on licenses any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula, and are automatically reflected in your cart. View an example of the JIRA upgrade price matrix here.

Add-on licences for downloaded Atlassian products are perpetual. Your original purchase includes 12 months of maintenance. To continue receiving upgrades and support after the initial 12 months, you can renew your maintenance for 50% of the original purchase price. You can purchase maintenance for up to 36 additional months at any time.

OnDemand add-on subscriptions renew each month and can be canceled any time.

How do I determine my pricing tier?

Choose the same user tier you pay for in the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a JIRA download license for 25 users, you should purchase this tier.

Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

What's the difference between OnDemand and download pricing?

Just like your Atlassian host application, there are two pricing models. Pick the model that matches your Atlassian product, and the same rules apply:

Subscriptions renew every month
Add-ons and instances are hosted by Atlassian
Licenses last forever, support and upgrades last for 12 months
Instances and add-ons are hosted on your servers
Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

Add-on purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application.

Add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Do you offer enterprise pricing?

Choose enterprise pricing if your Atlassian host application is billed for enterprise licenses.

Enterprise pricing includes 24/7 phone and email support, access to training through Atlassian University, and other perks. Learn more.

Can I extend my free trial?

You can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times – in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Free Trial and you'll be directed to generate a license at MyAtlassian. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

Alternatively, if you remove your expiring trial license from your Atlassian host application, you can re-add it back for another free trial.

What are legacy pricing tiers?

If you bought your Atlassian host application during or before February 2012, you qualify for legacy pricing tiers.

  • JIRA tiers are 10, 25, 50, and 100 users. The legacy unlimited tier was 100+ users.
  • The Confluence legacy tiers are 10, 25, 50, 100, 500, and 2000 users. The unlimited legacy tier was 2000+ users.
  • There are no enterprise licenses prior to and including February 2012.
