This is an excellent plugin that beats fisheye and atlassian's subversion plugin if you are only dealing with subversion repositories. The commit graphs from within Jira is an excellent tool when tracing down changes across branches.

That's a really useful plugin for any software dev company. What are the future pricing plans for the plugin? When will it become paid and what will be the cost?

Great plugin, especially the JQL capabilities. Is the new commit events API documented somewhere? Edit: Sorry, I forgot that the documentation is provided as PDF. Thanks for the answer.

A very powerful plugin with great documentation and extremely fast turn-around on fixing any problems. The JQL functions that are supplied provide a lot of power when it comes to interrogating your Subversion repositories in the context of your JIRA issues. For example, work out how many re-opened issues have code commits by multiple authors.

    More details

Everybody could think: if Atlassian made JIRA and Atlassian made some nice apps to integrate 3rd party Version Control tools with JIRA... none could do it better! FAIL!

The trick is whereas the rest of the applications run remotely and they are integrated over HTTP (even the ones developed by Atlassian). Subversion ALM runs on JIRA and it has full access to the JAVA API. Hence it can do a lot of things easier and better than the rest.

Second common mistake: Subversion is a mature tool with tons of free software around used by thousands users, so how could anybody do it better? Yes, Subversion is mature, but its API miss some critical features. Unfortunately, most Subversion tools are "silly" as they are direct implementations of the Subversion API, so they have the same limitations than the original product!

Subversion ALM is NOT a direct implementation of the API. It is really "clever". Unfortunately, I had not enough free time yet to resolve the poor merge support of Subversion :(

    Release notes

    version 6.0.7JIRA Server 5.1 - 6.4.2

    • The limit of max number of parallel indexing processes at time was not working causing performance downgrade when many repositories were registered.
    • The plugin required JIRA re-start after disabling under some circumstances: If there was a indexing process running during the plugin re-start, it might cause blocking the plugin runing in memory so it cannot be unloaded by JIRA requiring re-start the JIRA instance. Now, the plugin ensures that all the runing indexing processes are gracefully stopped very quickly.
    • Other minor enhancements regarding the useless traces written in the logs while disabling the plugin
    • Bug fix of a major issue deleting repositories which might impede register them again after deletion.
