This is an excellent plugin that beats fisheye and atlassian's subversion plugin if you are only dealing with subversion repositories. The commit graphs from within Jira is an excellent tool when tracing down changes across branches.

That's a really useful plugin for any software dev company. What are the future pricing plans for the plugin? When will it become paid and what will be the cost?

A very powerful plugin with great documentation and extremely fast turn-around on fixing any problems. The JQL functions that are supplied provide a lot of power when it comes to interrogating your Subversion repositories in the context of your JIRA issues. For example, work out how many re-opened issues have code commits by multiple authors.

This is an update to my prior review - there's no way to edit reviews on this site. The JQL issue was a mistake on my part - because the svn query items are all functions, typing "sv.." doesn't give any AJAX suggestions. The documentation does give the correct syntax which is issue in functionname("searchstring") I actually did skim the docs before but missed this nuance.

Great plugin, especially the JQL capabilities. Is the new commit events API documented somewhere? Edit: Sorry, I forgot that the documentation is provided as PDF. Thanks for the answer.

Vendor response

There is a working and fully documented example available from Google Code (version 2.0): (and it is also documented in the PDF distributed with the plugin). Hope this helps.

More details

Read why Subversion ALM vs Atlassian's JIRA Subversion plug-in

  • Super easy installation: It requires one click only in order to be installed from the Marketplace.
  • All-in-one: It bundles customized versions of all the 3rd party web applications and add-ons required to work with Subversion out-of-the-box
  • Bringing the missing core features: it brings you what professionals are being waiting for years.... JQL support, true commit graphs, calendars, neat user interface and much more!
  • Adapt it to your needs: It supports minimalist Java API accessible from your own JIRA plug-in.... Be notified about every commit fetched from Subversion and make your own actions accordingly: create issues (source code reviews?), change issue states (smart commits?) , watch branches and send notifications, keep aligned the index whether a developer types a wrong issue key, and much more...
