This plugin has made it very simple for us to create great looking pdfs from our documentation. The problem with the built in confluence pdf capabilities is that it is a hassle to create, you run into many problems with the way it renders certain macros, and biggest issue is that it only allows you to create one kind of pdf per space. This plugin gives you a wizard type interface to be able to design your pdf. It lets you customize it using CSS, you can upload fonts and images that you want to use, easily create headers and footers for each page, add page numberings, and create TOCs for the pdf. The biggest benefit in my opinion is that it allows you to create multiple pdf templates per space. The way we use it is that we have one template that export that you use to export a single page and one that you use to export a parent page and its children pages. You can also have global pdf templates that appear in every space, which is great for customer user, and then have templates that only appear in certain spaces, which is great for internal user. Lastly, they make it easy to create pdfs by adding a menu option in the tools drop down so its easy to get to and create one. Also, unlike the built confluence pdf option, this plugin is constantly being support and plays well with other macros. Overall this is a great plugin that has help us a lot and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to create many different custom types of pdfs.

We have had great success with this plugin. Our demands for features have been slightly ahead of development and will continue to be until version 3 arrives shortly. In spite of this we have enjoyed the journey very much. Why? Because the k15t team are so creative, dedicated, diligent and helpful. With their support we have always found a solution. The versatile and comprehensive design of this plugin has enabled us to satisfy all requests for PDF formats from our internal customers.

Scroll PDF is an essential solution for creating great looking PDFs from Confluence. As someone who knows little about CSS, I was able to get a very nicely skinned PDF template in just a few days. Had I known CSS, the process would've been much easier. Their indexing macro is so much better than using labels in Confluence, since their macro allows the use of spaces between words and proper capitalization. Their support team is stellar -- quickly responding to issues and providing great solutions, as well as acknowledging and considering feedback and feature requests.

Excellent plugin that provides much needed functionality which is not included in the built-in PDF export of Confluence. The flexibility to have several templates and set-ups of export is vital to anyone who has more then one type of document or type of audience. Another advantage is the possibility to use the Placeholders in your export- most noteably plant elemenents from the page metadata inside the Header or Footer. It is worth noting that to take full advantage of the plug-in it is recommended to have some basic CSS knowledge, and also to read the styling sections of the PDF export documentation of Confluence (see here: (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Customising+Exports+to+PDF). This will enable you to do some more advanced styling like putting background images etc. The documentation provided with the plugin is good, but if you will need support- the vendor has a very quick turn around time and their response always shows high expertise in what they do.

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

    How does add-on pricing work?

Just like your Atlassian host application, there are two pricing models for add-ons. Pick the model that matches your Atlassian product, and the same rules apply:

    Server pricing:

    • Products and add-ons are hosted on your servers.
    • Licenses last forever and include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).
    • You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the original purchase price.
    • You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    Cloud pricing:

    • Products and add-ons are hosted by Atlassian.
    • You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.
    • Your subscription automatically renews every month. Annual pricing is also available.
    • Your pricing tier for host products and add-ons is automatically upgraded (as necessary) when you add users to your instance.
How do I determine my pricing tier?

Choose the same user tier you pay for in the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a JIRA Server license for 25 users, you should purchase this tier.

Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

Add-on purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application.

Add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

You can extend your Server add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Free Trial and you'll be directed to generate a license at MyAtlassian. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

You cannot extend your Cloud free evaluation period. All Cloud add-ons are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation of period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the add-on.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA or Confluence license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
