Scroll DocBook Exporter turns your Confluence pages into DocBook XML files for storing in a VCS or for further processing

Export Schemes for user friendly exports

    DocBook metadata

    Advanced export settings

Export Schemes are similar to the Blueprints functionality in Confluence. You can define multiple Export Schemes, per space or globally.

Scroll DocBook Exporter allows you to add metadata to your exports. You can define the Author and Editor to be saved in the exported DocBook files.

Control the export settings properly. Define which pages should be exported and how the content should be processed.

    More details

The Scroll DocBook Exporter helps you to publish documentation using DocBook. It turns your Confluence pages into DocBook XML files for storing in a version control system or for further processing.

DocBook is a semantic markup language used for technical writing. A rich set of tools have been build around DocBook, formost the XSL stylesheets to produce many different output formats. In fact DocBook is used by most publishers for technical books. Also, DocBook can be used for data exchange, for example exchanging the content with a translation memory system.

With Scroll DocBook Exporter you can collaborate and author all your content in Confluence, and generate structured DocBook files to store, exchange, translate and print documentation.

Very useful. More control over the formatting of documents created from the exported DocBook file through CSS-markups in Confluence (i.e. 'span' macro) would be desirable. Integration with Scroll Versions 2 would be great!

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

The add-on tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian host application. For example, if you have a Confluence Server license for 25 users, you should purchase the 25-user tier for add-ons. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your host application license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

Add-on purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
