Hi guys, I just found little bug at your plugin. If my JIRA instance deployed to web server with non-deffault context path, then your plugin isn't works correctly. I solved it by adding AJS.contextPath() into all URLs at your Velocity Templates: jam.vm jamImportAttachments.vm please solve it ASAP.

Simple and to the point. I exported all attachments for a given project. Inside the zip file they were in a directory named for the project key, and within a subdirectory for the numerical part of the issue key (1, 2, 3, etc.). The attachments all had the original file name as seen in the UI. The only (slight) drawback - not knowing the right directory (on the server) to save the attachments in. (Someone else manages the actual server configuration.) However, I was able to go to the Jira Administration / Backup screen to find the default of where system backups are stored, and use that. (It would be nice if this plugin would default to the same, or offer some other way to determine an appropriate backup directory. Or, if it would just create its own isolated area to manage its files.) Now we just need another plugin to mass-attach all the files to a new Jira... (In my case, the number was small enough I just manually reattached them to the issues in the new Jira, which I had brought in via the CSV import, with CSV generated by the "Exporter – Issues to CSV and Excel" plugin.)

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for your feedback. Enhancing the attachment directory is already on our roadmap for the coming release (which will be out in the coming weeks), it'll be packed with new features, improvements, UX and UI enhancements. Regarding "Importing the attachments" I saw it a great feature and we will include it in our roadmap.

    Details

    • This new JAM release includes a major improvement on the extraction functionality. The user interface and the performance are both enhanced to give you a pleasant experience using JAM.
    • We have also added the much awaited Import feature. With the import feature you will be able to migrate your entire JIRA instance from one server to another.
