    We are waiting for Tempo Budget Cloud as well; management team wants to move to Microsoft CRM solution, due to the gap in services. What is the timeline for this? We are highly motivated to serve as a beta tester.

    Hi Marc,

    We are working on a financial add-on for Tempo cloud, but it will be different from Tempo Budgets in its current form. We are using this opportunity to rethink how we approach financials in Tempo, which means the features may not be exactly the same as they are now in our add-ons for JIRA Server. However, our goal is to solve some of the same use cases as our Server add-ons. We also want to better align financial features with our time tracking and planning features.

    This is an iterative process which will take some time, but we hope to introduce our first financial add-on for Tempo cloud later this year.

    Very nice tracking tool for costs. Slick integration with JIRA, slick reports and slick support. We have been using it for quite awhile now, always exited when a new version comes out. :)

    After many hours of testing and discussion with Tempo support I now believe this add on to be next to useless. There is no integration to Tempo Timesheets - worklogs entered via the "W" command do NOT show in Folio. Expenses booked via Add Expense do not show in Folio so essentially you can book time and expenses to an issue allocated to an account and associated customer but it without external manipulation it is impossible to use this information in any meaningful way without double entry. You are correct regarding to the ability to add expenses directly linked to issues is not yet supported in Tempo Folio. Historically, due to the folio was acquired by Tempo, the integration between timesheet and folio is our next target to implement in the future.     Hi Andrew,

    Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Tempo Budgets.

    To answer your first concern, Tempo budgets is directly linked to the JIRA worklogs, so no matter where you enter them, (via x, t, w... commands, issue screens, transition screens or any other screens supporting time tracking or ANY add-ons supporting the worklog transactions... ) they will be directly reflected in Tempo Budgets.

    If they do not, this would be most likely caused by JIRA not being indexed properly and unfortunately this is something that Tempo Budgets does not control. After reviewing your support ticket, I don't believe you have mentioned this issue. I am sure that our support would have suggested a re-indexation of your JIRA to fix it.

    As for the support of expenses via Issues, our support is right. This feature was originally introduced in Tempo Books prior to the acquisition of Tempo Budgets (formerly FOLIO) then merged into Tempo Timesheet when Tempo Books was retired. Unfortunately, Tempo Budgets was not yet ready to handle these issue expenses but I can assure you that this is what we are currently working on along with the integration of the centralized price tables and will be released early this year.

    Hopefully, when this work will be done, Tempo Budgets will better answer your needs.

    How does server add-on pricing work?

    Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

    You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

    If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my server pricing?

    Add-ons are billed based on the number of users in your host product. For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA products on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons. For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.Note: While this add-on has features specific to JIRA Service Desk, the add-on is technically available across the whole JIRA instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host product. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host product, and you're all set.

    How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

    If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.

    Installation

    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Tempo Budgets for JIRA via search. The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Tempo Budgets for JIRA. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Tempo Budgets for JIRA begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.
