We badly needed Hipchat notifications for pull requests, and this add-on is perfect for it - even has a notify option. Highly recommended.

Since I can't be bothered to make a yet another account just to post a single bug report like you wished, I'll just put it in here. Whenever somebody of our leads merges a pull request, the plugin spams 'RESCOPED Pull Request' as many times as there's merges waiting or so. There's option in the plugin to only post on "Push, pull or pull request". I have only pull request enabled and i still get unnecessary messages of rescoping. Please make it possible to filter by each and every message type, at least OPEN, RESCOPE, MERGED, PULL, PUSH, COMMENTED, APPROVED, MODIFIED, DECLINED, REPLIED. There might be many others since I only have pull requests enabled. I get all of that except PULL/PUSH of what I just wrote with only PULL REQUEST enabled. It's TOO MUCH.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback (although the 2 2-start reviews hurt ;)). We have a new feature now to suppress notifications from branches based on regex. That will help suppress notifications from less important branches like feature branches (See for more details). will track more fine grained control on pull request events.

Works as advertised. I would really like to have more fine-grained filter for what I want to send to the server. Bit spammy still.

Hi, What kind of fine grained permissions are you interested in? Right now, you can define the events (Push, pull or pull request) on a repo or project level. Can you raise a support request at

All pull request actions are notified twice in the chat room. For example, we get David Wu APPROVED Pull Ruquest: a commit from Project. David Wu APPROVED Pull Request: a commit to Project.

David, Thanks for the stars :) You will get 2 notifications in the room if the pull request is cross repository and each repository has subscribed to the same room. In a lot of cases, customers have subscribed different repositories to different rooms and hence the behavior :)
