Round-robin and component based assignment to support teams you define

Round-robin and component based assignment to support teams you define

Create as many teams as needed for each project

Apply the workflow for Assignment and Escalation

    Use components to auto-route tickets

Projects are aligned to specified role (and optionally components) within each project. These teams are used later in the provided workflow function.

Apply the workflow to initial Create transition, or any custom escalation transitions to assign to the specified team, round-robin manner.

Each team you create can be aligned to Components. If that component is applied at creation (via service desk, etc) then the ticket will route to the matching team.

Looks like your MANIFEST.MF is missing some required data, probably explains the comments below indicating problems with 7.2.1: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/jira-error-bundlesversiondiscovery-can-t-read-manifest-of-file-827097993.html About to try adding the Bundle-Version manually (hooray!) to see if it works, will report back findings. Do you take PRs?

    HI Michael!

Most of the errors below were configuration issues (missing team names in workflow, etc). I don't know I've seen any tickets related to the error you linked, and know it was tested on JIRA 7 for the latest release. But I would welcome any PR you want to submit!

This was working well until we upgraded to Jira 7.1.9. Since then, it stopped escalating tickets and now we cannot add members to teams. It keeps saying "Recieved error code: 500, Internal Server Error". Any help with this would be appreciated.

I installed this plugin today and so for it does not work. I am able to create a support team based on a project role, but when i got into it and try and make users assignable, I get a 404 error when i click "update assignments" I am running jira 6.4.1 and I have tried reinstalling the plugin and indexing jira.

Simple and straight forward to setup and use. Better yet, Edward Webb provides great service and support for this handy Jira add-on.

As this plugin is not formerly supported, would there be interest in making the project open source to allow collaboration on bugs and improvements? I only ask this as I am also having an issue with the '+ New Team' button being disabled, rendering the plugin useless. This is probably not the best platform to raise this, though it seems to be the only one available. This plugin has great potential. I believe it's only downfall is its low level of exposure and support; with this issue resolved, there should be no reason to give this plugin a review lower than 5 stars. If making the plugin open source is not in your interest, could an arrangement be made to allow myself access to the the source? I only ask as I would like to implement this plugin in several very large production instances; therefore I cannot afford a service impacting bug to be present for more than a few hours.

Samuel, I see you forked the repo, but I am happy to announce the js bug affecting 6.4 users has been fixed in version 1.4. Please update to resolve this blocker.

Also you say "collaborate" but your first commit was to rename and rebrand everything in the project. Keep in mind this is licensed under GPL v3 and as so must adhere:

You may convey a work based on the Program, or the modifications to produce it from the Program, in the form of source code under the terms of section 4, provided that you also meet all of these conditions:

    • a) The work must carry prominent notices stating that you modified it, and giving a relevant date.
    • b) The work must carry prominent notices stating that it is released under this License and any conditions added under section 7. This requirement modifies the requirement in section 4 to “keep intact all notices”.
    • c) You must license the entire work, as a whole, under this License to anyone who comes into possession of a copy. This License will therefore apply, along with any applicable section 7 additional terms, to the whole of the work, and all its parts, regardless of how they are packaged. This License gives no permission to license the work in any other way, but it does not invalidate such permission if you have separately received it.
    • d) If the work has interactive user interfaces, each must display Appropriate Legal Notices; however, if the Program has interactive interfaces that do not display Appropriate Legal Notices, your work need not make them do so.
