Cool plugin! I have only small request. I was trying to add URL in the Dev42 type of field description. This seems to be broken, and the field doe not show URL, just textt. This should work like any other type of JIRA field. Small thing but a bit annoying :) Please fix! Thanks, Ewa

    Hi Ewa,

Thanks for reporting that. We have found the issue and we will work on getting this fixed in next release.

Generally OK plugin but as another reviewer noted vastly limited by inability to specify which fields to show in views. In particular IP is missing which is usually most critical. Also you cannot order the columns on the table view. Thanks raj. When the new version comes out with IP I'll update my review. I can tell you my team has two critical views which we type in manually: 1. List of servers by IP in a subnet. Each subnet represents a functional unit such as production web servers or development . Most team members know what system they are looking for, find the subnet and then look for the IP, dns name and comments to determine what to connect to. 2. List of subnets with a name and description field. This helps when asking for a new server the requestor knows what subnet to check. We are happy to test anything and provide real time feedback.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

    1. You have the possibility to specify fields for view using space filters. For each table you have the possibility to limit amount of columns shown.

    2. We plan to extend the CI types that are supported, and IPs is one of the highest priorities now.

    3. We didn't plan to add order of the columns but it is the good point. If you wish this feature to be added you can submit a feature request here and vote for it: http://www.device42.com/new_feature/

    Hope that helps.

If you have device42, go for it. Tables and details are not yet very useful to us, because you cannot define which attributes are shown, but it's worth even for the links. Hi Raj, It really depends on why and for what purpose a device is included in a confluence page. Sometime we need its IP addresses, sometimes the cluster it runs on (which already works), etc. So for us two things would be nice: - be able to choose object type for link macro (passwords, ip adresses, device ...) currently only device works - be able to choose what kind of information is displayed with table and details macro Thanks, Christian

    Hi Christian,

Thanks for your feedback. Any preferences on what attributes you will want to see or are you looking to make that totally configurable?

This one is very useful to document Device42 devices.

    1. Log into your Confluence instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Device42 CMDB Connector for Confluence via search. Results include app versions compatible with your Confluence instance.
    5. Click Install to download and install your app.
    6. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
