    We are looking for a story mapping plugin and this could be an awesome alternative if just a few features were added. * possibillity to create epics and stories (or any issue) with a single click. * epic links shouldn't be the only way to get epics as columns since it requires that they are connected issues to be shown. In story mapping I want to create the epics first and have them lined up and then create stories. * summing up the total story points for each sprint. I know this is not a core story mapping plugin but it could be a good competitor if these features were implemented.

    This plugin has amazing potential. Unfortunately, there is a lack of attention to detail in both the product and the supporting user documentation. Minor bugs make me nervous implementing our company's process with reliance on the plugin, and there are some much-needed features like being able to truly share a canvas board with JIRA groups instead of just sending a link and having each person manage his own boards. Overall, though, the matrix view makes planning so easy, and it keeps everything in JIRA, which I really like.

    This plugin needs work. For me - The "Go Back" button doesn't work anywhere - The column order is not retained, it keeps switching back to a random order whenever I reload my board - Changing the browser window size results in erratic resizing behaviour. Sometimes the columns collapse completely. - I couldn't find a way to configure the information that is shown on each card

    This is an awesome tool which provides the flexibility that Jira Boards don't allow. You can create custom views with select row and column values for different applications and save them. It's like the Issues custom searches but in a Kanban board view, which makes it a lot easier to update issues as part of a specific process. For us, once issues are marked as Done, they are pending merge until put into a release, then our QA testers see their release tasks in their own swimlanes, and transition issues that are part of that release it through the different release statuses. This tool makes the process a LOT easier. Also, their support team is very responsive and helpful when required.

    The add-on makes a good first impression but you quickly hit its limitations. * The details pane does not offer an option to assign an issue if it is currently not assigned to any user. * No sort option for the row and column headers. There is a manual sorting (move up/down) but sometimes it would be nice to just change that directly. * No sort option for within the column (for example the rank field). * The manual sort (move up/down) does not seem to work with the "Unassigned" value vs existing users. * There also seems to be a visual glitch when priorities are disabled (in the field configuration) for the shown issue type. * The details pane allows you to directly change the issue type which to me is more of a liability than a positive aspect. People do stupid things when they have the chance to. It even lists all issue types even those disabled for the current project. * There is no easy way of getting a board for the active sprint besides creating a filter and board for every sprint separately. * There is a minor spelling error for the assignee field which is displayed as 'Asignee'. Overall the impression is good. It seems to integrate nicely with Agile. The main flaw for me is really the inability to assign users in the details pane when no user has been assigned before. This really reduces the usability a lot. And please let me disable changing the issue type in the details pane and fix the displayed options.

The visual glitch you mentioned when priorities are disabled, as well as the typo will be addressed in our next release, and we have added the remaining improvements to our roadmap.     How does cloud add-on pricing work?

    Cloud pricing is subscription based. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

    When your subscription renews each month, your pricing tier for host products and add-ons is automatically adjusted (as necessary) based on the number of users in your instance.

    If you've opted for annual billing for your host product, add-ons are also billed annually. Annual subscriptions for this add-on include a discount (12 months for the price of 10).

    If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

    How do I determine my cloud pricing tier?

    The cloud add-on tier is set automatically based on the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you have JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, your add-on tier is 50 users.

    Note: While this add-on has features specific to JIRA Service Desk, the add-on is technically available across the whole JIRA instance. Therefore the above guidelines for the license tier still apply.

    Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

    For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

    Can I extend my free trial?

    If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.

    Installation

    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.
    3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
    4. Locate Comala Canvas for JIRA via search. The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
    5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Comala Canvas for JIRA. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Comala Canvas for JIRA begins to download.
    6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
    7. Click Apply license. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.

    To find older Comala Canvas for JIRA versions compatible with your instance, you can look through our version history page.

    1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
    2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Add-ons. The Find new add-ons screen loads.
    3. Locate Comala Canvas for JIRA.
    4. Click Free trial to download and install your add-on.
    5. You're all set! Click Close in the Installed and ready to go dialog.
