    More details

The plugin allows to interact with a FreeMind mind map:

    • opening and closing of branches
    • panning, zooming
    • displaying of notes and properties
    • links to external pages

    Flash Player is required.

FreeMind is needed to edit mind maps, the plugin displays them only.

After a first quick test, I am very satisfied. The plugin really makes it easy to move through the mind map and allows for all the interactivity that is needed to read it, as far as I can see. Suggestions for improvement: 1. The name of the mind map should be autocomplete when editing the macro. 2. The same should be true for the page name. 3. When viewing a mind map, it would be nice to somehow see the fiel name that is being displayed; even better, the name is clickable and takes me to attachment view of the page so I can easily edit the file. 4. The icon in the left upper corner, the one that resembles a downwards pointing arrow head, is without function in our confluence. On mouse over, nothing happens, neither on click. I am using FF 27.0.1 and Flash 12.0.0.70 on Win7. Otherwise, really nice plugin :-)

    Hello Peter,
thank you for your review. I have added all your points as issues at https://avono-support.atlassian.net/browse/FREEMIND. There you can follow the progress of their implementation. Some quick notes:
    * autocomplete of page names is only available for Confluence 4 and above. I will have a look whether it is possible to implement it in Confluence 3 without breaking support for 2.10 (which is still in use in a lot of places).
    * the icon in the left upper corner is the history manager. It keeps track of the mind maps which were opened in this player. As only one mind map will ever be opened this icon does nothing. As we use the player as it was developed by others there is little chance that this icon will be removed (but the documentation should be adjusted).
    Regards,
    Christoph
