    Description

Triage quickly and conveniently by categorising issues in Jira's Detail View. Once triaged the categorised issues can easily be bulk edited and removed from triage process.

The main interaction point of this plugin is the triage bar, which is shown in Jira's Details View. It is associated with a filter (so it is not available in plain searches). Once a filter is displayed the triage bar will show up and the user can start using it.

The filter's triage bar is used for operating on two main entities - Buckets and Issues.

The buckets represent a way of categorising issues. The user can add, rename and delete buckets for a certain filter. These buckets are persistent and are the same for every user looking at this filter.

Once the buckets are chosen the user can move to the triage process. The triage process has two phases - categorising the issues and bulk editing them. The user adds an issue to a bucket either using the "Add selected issue" button/link or using a keyboard shortcut*. Once an issue is added, the triage plugin automatically changes the cursor to point to the next issue. In that way the user can quickly go through the triage process.

The mapping of which issue goes to which bucket is session dependent - its persisted in the browser, as opposed on the server. This means that two users looking at the same filter will see different categorisation of issues.

After collecting all issues (or the triage session is near its end) the user can move to the bulk edit phase. This is done using the "Edit issues" button, which just opens a new window with the bulk edit in Jira configured to include all issues from this bucket. Once the user have edited the issues, the triage bar will ask to clean up this bucket from all issues which were part of it. After going trough all buckets we consider this triage session as finished and can clean all buckets.

    * The keyboard shortcuts are 1-9 for adding to the first to ninth bucket, and 0 for removing the current issue from its bucket.
