Application Links Link Rendering

The new version of application links bundled with JIRA 4.3 (and any newer versions of JIRA after JIRA 4.3) no longer provides the ability to render links to external apps included in comments or text fields. This includes the capability to refer to a Confluence Page, a Cruicible Review, or a FishEye Changeset.

This functionality is available in this add-on in order to provide existing customers with the capability to keep creating and using these links.

Longer term we are considering either:

1) improving this add-on and bundling it in JIRA

2) developing better integration features between JIRA and other Atlassian applications that replace this functionality

Just installed this on jira 4.4.3 First of all, thanks for making this a suported plugin. After install via the upload the notification is displayed "This plugin has one or more modules with missing dependencies." And only 9 of 14 modules are enabled. Disabled items are: Crucible Review link renderer component (cruciblereviewlinks) JIRA link renderer component (jiralinks) Fishyeye revision link renderer component FishEye source link renderer component (fisheyesourcelinks) Bamboo Build link renderer component (bamboobuildlinks) -- The whole setup required that you define the relation between Jira and Fisheye repo (and path) also in the PROJECT setup, in 4.4 this is under "Settings".

I really appreciate this plugin, as it helped us when the new application links started. Is there any chance of a compatibility-check with JIRA 5.1.8 (or higher)? We use the linking between JIRA and Confluence a lot, and our users would love to see links from their [Confluence Pages] being rendered in JIRA comments even after an update to JIRA 5.1.8.
