Hi, Just to confirm, the cloned project is an exact copy of the original project isn't it with all the same issues already created in the original project? I am trying to understand the best way to create a project schedule template in Jira fot IT projects. I figure if I add all the project tasks (JIRA issues) to a dummy Jira project, then make a clone of it and save it when a really project to manage comes my way, that will work. Will it work and is there a better way? Thanks, appreciate all advice.

Hi Nisha and friends, I'd the same question and searched and googled ... Really bad that the author didn't give a hint - here I found the solution: https://www.packtpub.com/packtlib/book/Application-Development/9781782176862/9/ch09lvl1sec115/Cloning%20JIRA%20projects 1. Navigate to the project we want to clone. 2. Click on the Administration tab. 3. Select the Clone Project option from the Actions menu. 4. Enter the Name, Key, and Project Lead fields for the new project. 5. Click on the Add button to clone the project I tested it on a JIRA 6.0.1 server instance with Addon version 1.0 and it worked perfectly - I'm happy. Ciao Tobi G
