Is there any way for a user to opt out/disable this plugin? After launching, I had many users that loved this and a few that hated it which forced me to disable this plugin. It would be great if users were allowed to either opt in/out through dark features or a setting in their preferences page (similar to the Service Desk pre-populated commenting toggle switch) .

    Hi Paul,

Unfortunately there is currently no way for a user to opt out of this plugin. The only support being provided to this add-on is keeping it compatible with newer versions of JIRA - no new features are intended. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello there, This plugin seems very nice, but, does it have a "Manage" section? How do we implement this plugin? The current JIRA version is 7.1.2. Best regards JP

    Hi JP,

As far as I'm aware, there shouldn't be any need to to manage the plugin. After installation, it should be active for all JIRA issues and users. Can you suggest any features you would expect from the "Manage" section?

Hi there - this looks really nice - unfortunately we are still on Jira 6.2.5. Which version of this plugin can be used (I noticed that our version is not listed but I still wanted to ask ... :)) Thanks Christoph

    Hi Christoph!

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I have done some testing and found that v1.3.2 is compatible with JIRA 6.2.5. I will update the compatibility on the add-on listing.

This is a nice plugin that will give you notifications if you have an issue open and someone else adds a comment or edit the issue, however it does not solve a (in my head) more important issue: The case we are facing form time to time is that two persons edit the same issue at the same time (for instance updating a table in the description field. When this happens the last Update wins, overwriting the first without warning. Is there any plans to add a warning if this happens (the same way that you do get warnings in Confluence for this type of conflict)?

    Hi Lars!

This is something that the JIRA team is responsible for. There already exists an improvement request raised on our public JIRA project - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1917 - please vote for this issue!

This add-on is intended to raise awareness of issue changes, and hopefully mitigate the likelihood of overwriting changes. It is not intended to solve the larger problem of document locking in JIRA.
