Will the JMC plugin be updated to support JIRA 6.1+?

Still no mention on this. I've getting a LOT OF UPSET USERS because JMC keeps reporting to them that the app has crashed when in fact, it hasn't crashed. What appears to be happening is when the user's device runs out of memory and iOS dumps the app, JMC thinks that's a crash. Next time the user opens the app, they get the dialog saying that the app crashed. This is piss poor guys. 26 Sep 2012: JMC is the reason I know pay for JIRA ... so I'm a big fan of it and would like to see it's development continued. I'm curious if JMC is going to be updated to support ARC. Also, I am getting a lot of "Crash reports" from JMC, which are basically meaningless. There is no mention of lines of code or classes where it's crashing. Just SEGV_ACCERR. This is filling up my JIRA. I got 90 in the last couple of days with just 1 project and it's very painful trying to clear these up.

    Vendor response

    Hi Phil,

JMC has the ability for crash reports to be disabled. This means they can be switched off completely and your users will not be affected. The feedback portion of JMC will still function as it does today.

In order to do this, you can set the crashreporting option to NO in the applicationDidFinishLaunchingWithOptions class. Details are here:

    https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JMC/Advanced+Configuration

Also, if you want to use a more advanced crash reporting option, that symbolicates all crash reports, JMC has a very good integration with HockeyApp:

    https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JMC/Integrating+HockeyApp+with+JMC+Already+Installed

I have also raised a bug on the JMC JIRA instance in regards to the OOME problem:

    http://connect.onjira.com/browse/CONNECT-210

    Cheers

    Josh

I've just download the latest version of Jira Mobile Connect and although the instructions still indicate that the JMC files require the "-fno-objc-arc" build flag, it appears that at least some the JMC classes have been updated to support ARC. Presumably all classes have been updated, but it would be nice if this could be confirmed.
