This is a fantastic add-on! I have been playing with structure for a while now, and have also written a few blogs on it and Testy, because they are so lightweight, and are exactly what I see our clients needing out of JIRA. As an Atlassian Expert Partner at Isos Technology, we are always looking for great tools that many clients can use, and Structure is certainly one of them. One of the reasons it is so popular, is it can really do a lot at the granular level of issues and sub-issues. Also, I really enjoying the constant little add-ons you are adding like Testy, and now Pages in the beta version. As a project manager and consultant, I like seeing all of my issues and projects right in front of me in one grid. I can do that with this tool. I am a huge fan, and definitely recommend. Check out my Structure blogs and more at: www.isostech.com/evan. Believe me, as a Senior Atlassian Consultant, I would not recommend a tool, or endorse a tool, if I didn't believe in how great it is. Structure has great potential for future development to even do things like resource loading and management, making it an all encompassed project, portfolio, and resource management tool! Great work almworks! Keep up the great development against an already really great tool!

This really works well for a hierarchical visualization of issues based on our own criteria (it is pretty flexible in terms of defining these criteria). We use it to nest issue clones. I do have a question - is there a way to change the title/label "Structure" to something we choose? It is pretty confusing for users to see the generic term "Structure" in the interface. Thanks!

Hi, This is exactly what we are missing in JIRA! But - we are using a JIRA Cloud instance. Are there any plans to make this available for Cloud as well? Why not so far? Thanks!

    ALM Works

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for the kind words! We'd love to get Structure on JIRA Cloud, but unfortunately I don't see it happening in the nearest future.

There are multiple reasons for that. For one, Atlassian has stopped accepting new "installable" plugins for JIRA Cloud a while ago, suggesting instead that the plugin authors rewrite the plugins on a new "Atlassian Connect" platform -- see the request for including Structure here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-3705

Structure is a large add-on and it is tightly integrated with JIRA. While it is technically possible to rewrite it, to some extent, for JIRA Cloud, it is almost a complete remake of the product, plus extra technical challenges of hosting your data outside JIRA Cloud (cloud plugins have to host extra data somewhere else). Our resources are not unlimited, so we have to prioritize, and so far it's more important for us and for our customers that we release Structure 3 and work on major features such as Gantt chart.

But we'll probably get to work on the Cloud version in the future -- stay tuned! Meanwhile, if you're using JIRA Cloud only to avoid hosting JIRA yourself, you can check out services from JIRA experts that offer hosting *and* allow installing any plugins, for example, SWIFT from //SEIBERT/MEDIA: https://info.seibert-media.net/x/WQI4

    Kind regards,

    Pricing

    Paid-via-Atlassian pricing FAQ

How does server add-on pricing work?

Server products and add-ons are hosted on your servers. Licenses are perpetual and the purchase price include 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your host product and add-on licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If add-on pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing tier?

For JIRA Server 7.0 or later, the add-on tier should match the maximum tier of the licensed JIRA applications on your instance. For example, if you're running JIRA Software (50 users) and JIRA Service Desk (10 agents) on the same instance, you should purchase the 50-user tier for add-ons.

For versions of JIRA Server prior to 7.0, the add-on tier should match the licensed user tier for JIRA. Even if fewer users want to use the add-on than your JIRA license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses?

For server add-ons, purchase and renewal is half-price if you have an academic license for your Atlassian host application. Server add-ons are always free for community and open-source licenses. Cloud add-ons do not have discounted or free licenses.

For more details about qualifying for special licenses, see here.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server add-ons, you can extend your add-on trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the add-on listing in UPM from your Atlassian host application, and you're all set.

How can I buy add-ons for my legacy JIRA Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy JIRA Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy add-on pricing is no longer available. You have two options for add-on purchasing:

    • Purchase the add-on at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your JIRA or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the add-on at the same tier.
